Bueno amigos hice este thread porque me da curiosidad de cuantos pasajeros pason por los aeropuertos caribenos. Ya sabemos que el aeropuerto mas transitado es el de san juan. pero quiero preguntarles si hay una pagina que dice las cifras correctas para el numero de total pasajeros para los aeropuertos de Punta Cana, Las Americas, Jose Marti(Havana), Sangster (Montego Bay), Norman Manley(kingston), Puerto Plata, La Romana, y otros mas...:cheers:

quisiera poder yo encontrar una pagina donde encontrar esas cifras exacta, he buscado y buscado , pero nada. lo que si te puedo asegurar es que el aeropuerto mas movido del caribe es el de san juan y el aeropuerto mas internacional del caribe es el de punta cana.

bueno como de todas maneras gracias wiki? bueno yo estaba viendo wikipedia y me sorprendio que el aeropuerto de Montego Bay "sangster" movio a 5.6 millones en el 2004, que son muchos pasajeros...entonces me dio curiosidad por saber cuantos tienen los demas..ya que PR y DR no somos los unicos que recibimos muchos pasajeros en el caribe...

esa cifra esta errada te lo aseguro, sangster internacional no sobrepasa los 3 millones de pasajeros, porque ese es un aeropuerto netamente turistico y si moviera esa cantidad jamaica seria la principal potencia del caribe y jamaica solo atrae entre 2 y 2.5 millones al a~o

Lo que mueve mucho a Jamaica es la aerolinea Air Jamaica que tiene muchos vuelos internacionales.

Santo Domingo.- More than 90 percent of almost four million tourists that are estimated will visit the Dominican Republic this year, arrive by air travel.

Civil Aviation deputy director Luis Rodriguez assured that 2006 registered a growth in air operations, both in regular as well as chartered flights.

The number of passengers in regular flights rose 10.83 percent as measured through the month of October this year, while the chartered option declined 2.78 percent during the same period, when comparing statistics for the previous year.

In 2005, regular flights boarded 5.7 passengers arriving to the country, while in 2006, 6.3 million are registered.

Bueno, yo no tengo cifras exactas pero lo que yo se es lo siguiente:

1. Los aeropuertos dominicanos con mayor flujo de pasajeros son el Aeropuerto Las Americas y el de Punta Cana. Las Americas es el aeropuerto con mas vuelos fijos mientras que el de Punta Cana es casi totalmente dedicado al trafico de turistas, lo que quiere decir que tiene muchos vuelos charter.

Dependiendo del mes, el aeropuerto con mayor flujo varea entre Las Americas y Punta Cana.

2. De los cincos aeropuertos mas activos de la nacion (MDSD, MDPC, MDLR, MDPP, MDST) el que tiene menos trafico es el de La Romana.

No se cuanto es, pero creo que es menos de 1 millon. La Romana tiene muy pocos vuelos fijos y tambien charter, especialmente cuando uno hace una comparacion a la cantida de vuelos fijos y charter que vuelan a Puerto Plata, Santiago, Las Americas, y Punta Cana.

3. Ahora aprendi que el del Cibao esta entre los de 1 millon de pasajeros tambien.

Pues concluyo con lo siguiente:

Aeropuertos con mas vuelos charter son: 1. Punta Cana, 2. Puerto Plata, 3. Las Americas, y 4. La Romana (que yo sepa, al Cibao no hay vuelos charter).

bueno, el santo domingo en los ultimos a~os ha recibido mas de 2.5 millones de pasajeros y como el de punta cana lo ha sobrepasado me inmagino k la cifre es mucho mayor k esa, lo bueno del aeropuerto de punta cana es que el 85 porcierto de aviones que llegan son aviones grandes, 747, 767, 340,330 y asi por el estilo y ahora con la subida del turismo me inmagino k los vuelos aumentaran muchsismo, aunke de por si el aeropuerto de punta cana es el aeropuerto mas internacional del centroamerica y del caribe y el de san juan es el mas movido

Aun falta este mes que es bien pesado para el Aila y el del Cibao por la llegada de los dominicanos ha pasar la navidad.

A proposito... Feliz Navidad a todos, ya llego practicamente!!! :D

En eso tienes razon, para este mes el AILA ha incrementado sus vuelos a 100 diarios.

Mi prima llegó ayer 12/12 y en la correa desde que las maletas pasan 2 veces y no las cojen los dueños se las apean y las ponen en una esquina debido al gan numero de equipaje.

Y ahora tenemos en el aeropuerto de Las Americas la remodelacion de la parte vieja que practicamente duplica su capacidad si no me equivoco.

El de San Juan es hub, pero Iberia y otras aerolíneas están planeando hacer su hub en Santo Domingo, por los obstáculos que presenta San Juan, especialmente por el visado. Bueno, a mi parecer, diría que únicamente el visado...

realmente 7 millones y medio y esa suma puede sobrepasar los 8 millones porque el aeropuerto del cibao se espera que sobrepase el millon y como van las cosas eso es casi seguro que lo logre, el de santo domingo ni se diga esta full de to para las navidades, el de punta cana esta que no cabe un mandado porque los europeos estan llegando en masa para pasar sus inviernos aki, el de puerto plata igual, el de la romana tambien, el de samana uf!!!!! ahora es que ese aeropuerto se va a poner bueno porque en este mes comiensan los vuelos de canada de air transat y skyservice y los de neo a milan en italia a samana, osea que inmaginate. el de la isabela lei ayer que american eagle va a comensar vuelos diarios a este aeropuerto, inmaginate nuestro aeropuertos han tenido un crecimiento muy bueno este a~o

no, solo funciona para vuelos militares hasta ahora, pero si pueden aterrizar aviones de gran capacidad ya que es internacional, cuando los proyecto turisticos en el sur crescan y se desarrollen bien entonces me inmagino que ese aeropuerto crecera mucho

Es cierto Wiki, la isla de Roatan tiene 2 vuelos provenientes de Roma y Milan a la semana, una de estas Aerolineas esta interesada en volar permanentemente pero no a Roatan sino que a San Pedro Sula, la segunda ciudad mas importante del pais.

Aeropuerto Internacional Luis Muñoz Marín - San Juan, PR

El Aeropuerto Internacional Luis Muñoz Marín (SJU) es un aeropuerto en Carolina, Puerto Rico, a unos 5 km al sudeste de San Juan, siendo el principal aeropuerto de Puerto Rico.

Ha sido catalogado como uno de los aeropuertos internacionales más importantes en América y el primero en el Caribe, tanto en vuelos internacionales como de carga. El aeropuerto mueve alrededor de 10 millones de pasajeros al año.

El aeropuerto figura entre los primeros 50 de Estados Unidos y entre los primeros 100 de todo el mundo en cuanto a movimiento de pasajeros y carga, y es además, eje de la transportación aérea en el Caribe.

Diariamente maneja cerca de 500 operaciones (despegues y aterrizajes), con vuelos internacionales principalmente hacia Estados Unidos y el Caribe, entre otros hacia Europa, Centroamérica y Sudamérica.

Con más de 20 líneas aéreas y 16 operadores de carga, se ofrece allí una pluralidad de alternativas de vuelos. El aeropuerto cuenta con dos pistas divergentes de 10,000 pies (3,049 metros) y 8,000 pies (2,443 metros) de largo, una pista de rodaje paralela que conecta las pistas norte y sur, tres terminales para pasajeros con 42 posiciones de estacionamiento para aviones (gates). Además, tiene tres terminales para el manejo de carga y un centro mundial de carga.

También, el aeropuerto cuenta con un moderno y cómodo hotel con 125 habitaciones y casino, una capilla, una institución bancaria, salón de belleza, spa, cerca de 100 tiendas, 39 concesionarios de comida, estacionamiento multipisos, compañías de alquiler de automóviles y muchos otros servicios que aportan a la comodidad y disfrute del viajero.

A ver dime qué falta y qué está demás en las informaciones generales.

^^Pues hay algunas aerolineas que pusiste que ya no entran al SJU... ni siquiera estan en servicio como es Air Santo Domingo; tambien esta Air Atlanta Icelandic y algunas otras mas. Tambien Faltan otras aerolineas como es Caribair, que hace vuelos charters a SJU, SAP Air y otras. ATA ya no existe, Aerolineas Argentinas no vuela a SJU desde los 90's.... eso es todo lo que veo, y son los errores que creo que tiene. :)

Pues la de Air Santo Domingo la corregí ayer, y le puse Air Dominicana, según vi vuela a SJU, espero no estar equivocado. Las demás aerolíneas las modifico ahora.

A Caribair no sé en qué Terminal ubicarlo...

Ok llegamos a la puerta A4 de la terminal 4, en la puerta A2 habia un Aer Lingus A330 y en la A6 un Airbus A380-800, muy impresionante me quede de boca abierta por que fue la primera ves que veo el 380....:yes:

Las Américas International es bien bonito, pero muuuuuuuuuuuuucho mas pequeño de lo que me imaginaba.
Imagínate, no es un hub regional. Pero aún así, tiene el segundo flujo de pasajeros más importante de la región y creo que tiene más puertas de embarque que cualquier otro aeropuerto antillano, excepto SJU.

Pace Airlines anuncio la continuacion del servicio desde San Juan a Republica Dominicana.

Bueno Iberia esta en el mismo concourse que Delta y US Airways. Hay otras aerolineas que no recuerdo el nombre que tambien operan en ese concourse. Es que cuando fui recientemente al aeropuerto vi nombres que en mi vida habia visto. Si Delta y US Airways estaran en la nueva terminal A, asumo yo que Virgin Atlantic estara en uno de los lugares dejados por Delta/US Airways dado a la proximidad con la ubicacion de Iberia. Respecto a la aerolinea de Anguila....ni idea.

@ Migssant^^ Exacto. Actualmente Delta esta al lado de Iberia y US Airways esta practicamente frente a Iberia pero un poco mas alejado. Al Delta y US Airways mudarse a la nueva terminal seria logico que Virgin Atlantic ocupara cualquiera de sus lugares, pero esperemos a ver.

les reporto que el movimiento aereo en republica dominicana se ah visto incrementado en todos sus aeropuertos internacionales, en especial el desolado Barahona y los dos de Santo Domingo, se han visto por aqui aeronaves tales como British Airways 744, El Al de Israel 772, MD11 de la Fuerza Aerea Holandesa, Kalitta 742 con varios vuelos y un sin numeros de aeronaves militares mas pequeñas en especial de estados unidos y varios mastodontes rusos.

Qué buenas fotos hay en este hilo, increíble!
