I agree with the Messiah about the "unfinished" top.

The top is a cornice, and is meant as a tribute to the early tripartite Chicago School buildings nearby.

Personally I think they could have done a better job with it, but the idea is nice. A spire or other sort of pointy top would not fit this building.

It would also benefit from a more detailed facade (something like the UBS Tower).

That towers just spoils the cluster. It is too boxy simple for Chicago I thought we already passed that architecture era. 4 out of 10.

I'm typing this from the 14th floor of this building, where I happen to work. The first thing I need to say is that it's too bad other pictures of this building have not been posted. Many people have referred to the "white" outlines of the glass on the building. There is no white; it's just an illusion created by sunlight in the photo. What you're actually seeing is stainless steel, which looks pretty good with the blue glass to my eye.

Even so, I think the building is too bulky for its height. I give it 6/10.

Too chunky & bloated for where it is; no real point of reference on the exterior with which to gauge the building's scale. Bleh. 4/10

Helluva lot of glass. It looks like a modern office tower, but it's still asthetically pleasing. Just a bit stumpy, though.
