8.5/10...Pelli's crowns are always great. This building isn't an attention grabber necessarily but is a good fill in and blends in well with it's surroundings. The night lighting is also stunning!

7.5/10 Nice setbacks and vertical columns. The colors make the building look clean. The only problem is that it is kind of bulky, and the top is boring.

8.5/10. Very interesting building!

The elegantly created phenominon skeleton-like facade gives the visually-striking reflection during the day and breath-taking light-effects at night, with lights, skyline and The Sears : this tower "completed Chicago" yet fascinated me.........9.5/10

I love the massing, but the facade is very boring. Also, the nighttime lighting could be spruced up a bit.

to me, this tower's a dry run for the later hk ifc project. the facade details, like most of pelli's late 80s/early 90s creations, are done in a way that reflected the art deco era very well with a nice modernist flair to it. it's a tower that contributes to the diversity of chicago's skyline.

still, the tower's too much on the bulky side to soar gracefully like many of pelli's creation from that period of time.

I really like this building, it's one of Pelli (http://www.pcparch.com)'s best.

The concept is a bit similar to Saarinen's proposal for the Tribune Tower, but not as good.

Nice

The Loop is one of the few places where it would be a bit lost and it is a bit lost. Just about 10 metres too short and just too unobstrusive to stand out in that forest. Fills in well and a lovely bldg but not one that really grabs the imagination.
