copper facade is pretty, but the backside composition is way off, those windows are just shameful.

Even if the front facades may look acceptable the backsides seem quite awful. Here (http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/8531/img8377r.jpg) reminds of some Soviet-built residential highrises ("monoliths").

Honestly, I thought that it will look much worse :)

^absolutely, i'm kinda surprised they don't suck as much as i had expected them to suck :D they look much like v2 of the soviet-time red brick apartment towers.

just fantastic, especially from main street side. Incredible! Klaipeda is truly a phenomenon! Don't know any other 180 k city (without some urban area with more people around) with so impressibe highrise development!! How many modern highrises are now built in Klaipeda?

My last visit to Klaipeda was 5 years ago and looking at these pictures, at these magnificent highrises, it really makes me visit this city again!

Klaipeda is going to be East European Frankfurt :)

When it comes to quality of architecture it will be more like Benidorm than Frankfurt :|

Sadly, apart from quantity and height Klaipeda can hardly show us anything exciting (as opposed to Vilnius, Riga or Tallinn).

These buildings look somewhat strange. Apart from height and inpact on the skyline it's hard to see anything positive about them.

The worst thing is location - they are on the edge of the city. Also Shame is that highrises doesn't make kinda space of urban street - because they stand alone in the nowhere...

I would choose quiet old street in Klaipedas center to live, rather than choosing these monsters in the outskirts.
But one who likes shopping should buy an apartment there.

How big is that shopping center ?

How many flats have been sold so far ?

The buildings rather seem empty yet.

Having that many highrises in 180 thousand city makes me somewhat jealous. But the lack of centralised idea, plan behind these developments creates a feel of chaotic development or even - a feel of some missed big opportunity
It is a big pitty that city did not push for a cluster of highrises somewhere near the centrum. But this is said already many times, I suppose.

Some 40,000m2.

Don`t know how much flats are sold, but flat`s in the two towers on the right aren`t even for sale, probably until the prices in the market will start to rise again.
