Tmac June 22nd, 2008, 11:11 PM some of you guys are obsessed with India, aren't you? I read atleast 30 posts just today by various members where India was mentioned. Members here are creating threads with India in the title. You guys breath, sleep, eat India, don't you? Is that all you think about? India India India? Media threads, transportation threads, economy threads, politics threads........India is the most common words used by some of the members. Despite my numeorus requests members keep pulling India into the discussions.
In the next few days I will be asking Jan the remove my MOD status. If I cannot get the minimum respect from the forumers here then it's not worth it for me. When I started to participate in this wonderful forum all I wanted was to promote Bangladesh. What we have now is not what I wanted. I didn't want a Bangladesh subforum so that we can discuss India in every single thread. My intention wasn't to talk more about India than Bangladesh. Please nominate someone for the next mod position. If no one steps up then one of the South Asian mods would become the next mod for the Bangladesh subforum.
manbil777 June 22nd, 2008, 11:18 PM Could you kindly be more specific?
1. What happened...
2. What is your suggestion going forward?
Of course if you'd like to discuss this in private -- by all means PM me.
meghnarmajhi June 23rd, 2008, 05:19 AM We are willing to listen to you and together we can create a guideline for posting and starting new threads. You are doing pretty good as mod.

Ditto.
Also, couldn't you just censor what you deem inappropriate? I for one, wouldn't complain.
Hope you won't quit.
manbil777 June 23rd, 2008, 07:42 AM Bhai TMAC -- if some of us have offended -- we have done so without knowing.
I think India sometimes comes up not as a bashing centerpiece but as a reciprocal scenario. It is unavoidable as it is our biggest neighbour politically and economically and sometimes is a convenient benchmark to aim for and hopefully to surpass.
Positive competition among nations to better themselves is a great thing -- no harm in it. If they do something well (and they do some things very well) -- it is probably not wrong to learn from it.
I am sure most of us are very mindful and sensitive about our Indian visitors at this forum and would do little to harm their feelings -- nationalistic or otherwise.
If India is being brought up -- I think we have to see whether it is relevant to the discussion. If you feel we should not mention India even as a relevant subject then that is acceptable as well. You're the Mod man -- we go by your rules.

Yes,I agree..and dont want you to quit Tmac
meghnarmajhi June 25th, 2008, 07:55 AM has anyone talked to tmac yet?
Dhakaiya June 25th, 2008, 11:27 AM We can solve this problem, don't worry Tmac.
nayeem007 June 25th, 2008, 03:21 PM Is it only Bangladesh-India comparison that should be avoided? or we should stop any kind of corelation in development with other developing countries like Vietnam, pakistan aswell?
meghnarmajhi June 25th, 2008, 04:05 PM I dpn't see why some degree of comparison should be a problem, as long as we don't put other countries down. Also, we shouldn't be just talking about just one foreign country.
Anybody knows why tan is missing?
tanzirian June 26th, 2008, 11:20 PM Anybody knows why tan is missing?
I am moving to a new job :) I have discussed this matter with Tmac though, and offered some suggestions. I will rejoin you guys in a day or so.
meghnarmajhi June 27th, 2008, 03:28 AM ^^goodluck with new job
Tmac July 14th, 2008, 01:31 AM I have been extremely disappointed with the responses I am getting from all the so called senior forumers. Not a single one of you would like to be the mod. Everyone has the same excuse of being busy and work...what about me? Am I not busy? Do I not have work? Don't the other mods in other sub forums have jobs? Why do I have to be stuck with being the mod? I never even asked to be the mod to begin with. Why is it that no one wants to take any responsibilities? This is silly. None of you want to take any responsibility and dump everything on me. I don't want to do this anymore. It seems like all of you guys have a choice except for me. I have no choice here since no one wants to be the mod. Even if I don't want to I still have to be the mod because none of you want to take any responsibility? How is that fair? In anycase you have this upcoming week to choose a Mod, otherwise you will be without one.
tanzirian July 14th, 2008, 01:53 AM ^^ Honestly bro, I don't know why you are so upset. I thought I had answered your question in an appropriate manner. You already know my thoughts as well as my offer. So please do as you feel best.
Tmac July 14th, 2008, 02:05 AM Tanzirian, I didn't ask for a complicated answer. Either you want to be the mod or not. No conditions attached. No co-mod, no partner. Please don't give me scenarios of who you can co-mod with or not.
Please nominate someone for the next position. Last time when I presented this no one responded with an answer. I hope I get a little more respect this time.

amar11372 July 14th, 2008, 02:24 AM ^^ Regardless of the issue with Mod, please do continue to post when you have free time Tmac.
Tmac July 14th, 2008, 02:35 AM Tanzirian has accepted the offer and I already sent the request to Jan. Hopefully in a few days Tanzirian will be the new mod of this section. He is a great forumer and a great Bangladeshi. Please respect him as a mod and help him out anytime if he needs it. I wish Tanzirian best of luck. I am sure he will do a great job.
meghnarmajhi July 14th, 2008, 03:54 AM I am sure Tanzarian will do a great job too. I want you to know that you did a great job as a mod yourself too. You had been the best poster in the forum too. We would like to have a great Bangladeshi and a great forumer like you around. You can tell from the earlier posts that everybody here likes you.
Tanzarian, you have my full support, cooperation, and respect as our mod.

mirzazeehan July 14th, 2008, 06:36 PM My best wishes to Tan...I am certain that he will do an excellent job and all shall co-operate.
Tmac, please continue to make your VITAL CONTRIBUTIONS even after ur mod status is removed. You have been a great mod and I thank you for that.
tanzirian July 14th, 2008, 07:10 PM Tmac, we all wanted you to remain as mod, but we respect your wishes to the contrary, and thank you for your service. I think I speak for everyone in saying that we hope you continue to be a part of this community, regardless of whether you remain as mod, or not.
As far as being mod I shall basically follow the template laid down by Tmac, and as such shall hope to leave as small a footprint as possible. I do feel, however, that we need a set of written rules to refer to, and shall be posting this on the front page some time in the not too distant future. This forum is too big for me to monitor all threads and posts at all times. So, please send me a private message if you notice any issues that need my attention. Otherwise...be kind, and enjoy.

Thanks Dhakaiya. How was your trip to Kuala Lumpur?
meghnarmajhi July 19th, 2008, 06:41 PM Kuala Lumpur? One of my most favourite places. Lucky you......... any pictures?
Dhakaiya July 20th, 2008, 07:55 AM Thanks Dhakaiya. How was your trip to Kuala Lumpur?
Wonderful. Thanks. Also went to Singapore by the Aero Bus, but I liked KL better.
......... any pictures?
Sadly each picture is around 1.5MB and I have a very slow connection, so it would be quite difficult to post them, but KL is one of my favourite cities too!
