Da3won June 24th, 2008, 06:05 PM I Love this tower Film is great ! Only to get build it  :cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers:
Triceratops June 24th, 2008, 06:16 PM IMO such tower would be more suitable for Warsaw. But still it looks amazing and symbiotic!
Insighter June 24th, 2008, 06:17 PM Very ugly tower, for such a beautiful city. Enjoyed my stay there in Fall of '04. I hope they can make it look better before they build it.
Cracovia June 24th, 2008, 06:23 PM o god...hope this does not get built its horrible
Sponsor June 24th, 2008, 06:29 PM Design looks optimistic but I'm against buiding this tower in commieblocks neibourhood few kilometers away future cluster (possible).
Krist0f June 24th, 2008, 07:33 PM o god...hope this does not get built its horrible
Don't judge before it's built.
Great news for Poznan! I keep my fingers crossed.
fgdf June 24th, 2008, 07:36 PM How great and unique design it has is proven by how controversial it is. Different man different opinion I like it
Pulse June 24th, 2008, 07:48 PM Very ugly tower, for such a beautiful city. Enjoyed my stay there in Fall of '04. I hope they can make it look better before they build it.
Dont worry mate. The tower will be located at suburbs area far from charming city center.
Erni79 June 24th, 2008, 08:19 PM Congratulations!! I hope that facade really will be transparent.
tombaks June 24th, 2008, 08:29 PM ^^I hope will be not green :D
^^^^ Exactly. Poznan Forum will be located about 3.7 Km(2.3 Mi) from Old Marked Square.(straight line)

Ni3lS June 24th, 2008, 09:34 PM Wow. very nice tower :) A real landmark for a city like Poznan ;)
Elwood June 25th, 2008, 09:02 AM Oh man. I see that Poznan is slowly coming to skyscraper elite. The whole solid seems to be modern-looking, but some people screwed up a design. It's uniqe but really charmless. I hope this effect is gonna be reduced by some stuff. Good luck, Poznan.
paquinho June 25th, 2008, 10:01 AM I don't know why but seeing that tower reminds me of Jenga!!! heheehehehe
matej June 25th, 2008, 10:45 AM fantastic
Poznan !!!
Varsben June 25th, 2008, 10:46 AM I regret to say this --- but in my opinion it is ugly, excessively high, and will spoil the panorama of Poznań.
asheron June 25th, 2008, 03:23 PM I regret to say this --- but in my opinion it is ugly, excessively high, and will spoil the panorama of Poznań.
.... or it will be the beginning of new panorama ;)
Urbanista1 June 25th, 2008, 03:26 PM I think it's great. It's far enough away from the old city - this may become Poznan's La Defense.
Does the building have approval yet? That is WZ and PB (Pozwolenia na Budowy)?
Leveler June 25th, 2008, 03:37 PM some more photos of this 'borg cube"
haha good one!

WZ is expected to be given next month. They have ie Civil Aviation Office approval.
Locke June 25th, 2008, 10:58 PM The execution will make or break this design, it has the potential to look really good or not so much.
Will this officially be the tallest building in Poland?
I believe it will be for now, though of course there are those two 300m+ towers mooted in Warsaw.
Still, quite a few skylines in the making around Poland, early days yet, but promising.
OMH June 25th, 2008, 11:43 PM The design isn't beautiful, but interesting...I'm not sure if i like it though, the design is too boxy IMO, though the facade structuring with the protruding elements is very interesting and certainly very different from the average facade on modern highrise buildings.
What fascinates me is how Poland is booming in terms of skyscraper construction , since they're 3 cities now that have skyscrapers over 200m U/C or approved (Warsaw, Wroclaw, and Poznan) and one more (Gdansk) has a highrise over 200m (http://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=66364|Brama Wolnosci) proposed
(according to SSP/http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?searchID=38113810)

Phobos June 26th, 2008, 10:58 PM It looks like a Lego building. It's a strange building, but much better than an ordinary box.
Pulse June 26th, 2008, 11:21 PM I used my brain and I was trying to find simlar project build or planned in the other sides of the world. Tell me if Im wrong but I couldnt find anything like this tower. Unique project. For sure this tower could became to Poznan most famous landmark. I really keep the finger cross for it, to change it from the project into construction site.
The funniest is that my former home place is located almost underneath this tower. Pity that I moved out from there - you lost the daily update :)
EDIT: One thing is still strange for me. 240 m to the roof gives 4,36 per each floor. Despite the fact that it will be multifunction building its still a lot.
skiet June 27th, 2008, 12:13 AM mabye sth like this in Tilburg holland :D http://images.google.pl/imgres?imgurl=http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1069/543879237_f03b1ab36b.jpg%3Fv%3D0&imgrefurl=http://www.flickr.com/photos/shotsbyme/543879237/&h=500&w=333&sz=137&hl=pl&start=1&tbnid=6upo7wjpptEtLM:&tbnh=130&tbnw=87&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dtilburg%2Bskyscraper%26gbv%3D2%26hl%3Dpl%26sa%3DG

Cracovia July 10th, 2008, 09:24 AM im just happy its no were near the city centre....they should piss of with this project to Bratislava
krzysiu_ July 10th, 2008, 11:58 AM Well, very strange building, i like it, but it could be a little better tho..
Boogie July 10th, 2008, 02:47 PM In the previous visualisation user SENSEY22 does too tall building. He edited it. Now his visualisation fits to future skyline better.
http://images25.fotosik.pl/243/50f13721b52995d7.jpg
Skyline_FFM July 11th, 2008, 11:34 AM I don't think it is ugly. But it could ridiculous standing there alone! There should be some 100ers surrounding it to amenize the excessive height of the standalone!
Boogie July 11th, 2008, 01:36 PM It can not stand near city center because Ławica airport is situated too close of center. In city center you can build only 130 m height building. Probably in near future in neighbourhood of Poznań Forum there stand other tall buildings. I hope so.
Elwood July 11th, 2008, 09:08 PM well. i think this feature is kind of advantage. Poznan's got a quite nice city center and tall buildings shouldn't be located there. I hope it's gonna be like in Wroclaw, where skyscrapers will be placed in circles, away from main old center.
MasonicStage™ July 11th, 2008, 09:24 PM I dont like it...looks without order.
Boogie July 11th, 2008, 11:23 PM well. i think this feature is kind of advantage. Poznan's got a quite nice city center and tall buildings shouldn't be located there. I hope it's gonna be like in Wroclaw, where skyscrapers will be placed in circles, away from main old center.
I like combination of modern and classic architecture. For example when skyscraper is situated next to ancient tenement house, so I do not see nothing wrong to situated skyscrapers in city center. Now you can see four tall buildings in Poznań's city center and two are in plans. I do not see nothing wrong to situated skyscrapers in various places in city too but conception to situated skyscrapers in one or two places is better for me.
Marco Polo July 12th, 2008, 02:00 AM It seems like the architect had a very shaky hand when he produced this one...
Boogie July 12th, 2008, 05:37 PM He had a robot hand rather than shaky.
sampras October 15th, 2008, 12:42 PM OH GOD !! It is to be build just in front of my windows :-/
this will spoil the panorama I have :-(
a bad location for a skyscraper....
sky scrapers should be located not far from one another to create a nice skyline,
or anyway: not to be placed in random locations for sure!
why can't they build over existing railway in city centre?
that is the best place available!! all trains will go underground (they are in huge cut at the moment)
and we'll have a supreme NewCityCentre
Boogie October 15th, 2008, 01:08 PM Are you kidding? They can not build it in city centre because airplanes fly over there.
Sponsor October 15th, 2008, 01:53 PM why can't they build over existing railway in city centre?
Are you kidding? They can not build it in city centre because airplanes fly over there.
Airplanes fly right above the city centre and the place @sampras suggests is Wolne Tory (in english Free Rails?). There aren't airplanes flying above this area.
sampras October 15th, 2008, 06:00 PM ^^ if you check in googlemaps you will see that planes fly more or less above Towarowa Street in Railway Station area.
Keeping that in mind it is possible imho that taller buildings can be build both: North and South from that point (in the distance required by Air Legislation)
What is more, it is also possible to make the approach 'steeper'
--------------------
I'd say 'Vacant Rails'

Alcane October 26th, 2008, 11:29 PM ugly i dont like it :/
jayo October 27th, 2008, 12:33 PM i can't make my mind up about this one :/ The first render is really ugly but the others make the cladding look quite nice.
sirpawel December 15th, 2008, 02:48 PM Someone knows how economic crysis will afect this one? Sky Tower Wroclaw is on hold.
Eric Offereins December 27th, 2008, 03:55 PM Dont worry mate. The tower will be located at suburbs area far from charming city center.
I would prefer to see it in an urban centre rather than in a suburb, impossible or not. :ohno:
Zaprojektował go hiszpański architekt Jesus Marco Llombart.
Wybudują go hiszpańscy inwestorzy Manuel Gomez Landeira i Manuel Anon. Pierwszy z nich już od 40 lat stawia hotele, biura i centra handlowe, głównie w Hiszpanii i Wenezueli. Drugi działa w sektorze metalurgicznym i bankowym.
W grudniu wydział urbanistyki i architektury Urzędu Miasta wydał Hiszpanom warunki zabudowy.

sorry that in polish only ;]
I still don't like this building.
It will look awkward - a skyscraper surrounded by buildings not higher than 20m
luci203 January 8th, 2009, 03:24 PM Futuristic Building...

isaidso January 8th, 2009, 03:32 PM This has the potential to be an eye sore or stunningly beautiful. There are similar towers planned for Toronto and New York. The one in New York is my favourite.
sampras January 9th, 2009, 10:22 AM it has also the potential to look like building placed in wrong place.
During communist era in Poland it was common to place high buildings in strange and empty places. Is that the return to this way of planning? There are no high buildings anywhere near! This whole idea shi##.
I wouldn't mind probably if this was to be placed in city centre.
Unfortunately lack of planning in Poznan results in odd decisions (I thing that bribing authorities to let you build anything anywhere is as simple as buying rolls in a market)
krkseg1ops March 25th, 2009, 06:39 PM I agree, the tower probably would suit Warsaw more but in Poznań it's not a good idea
skyperu34 April 1st, 2009, 05:14 PM Simply a great design ! Congratulations !
Manitopiaaa June 27th, 2009, 07:00 PM This will spoil Poznan. What a dud design
sampras November 11th, 2009, 02:44 PM Guys, is there anything going on regarding this structure?
Dannistelrooy December 10th, 2009, 05:08 AM It kind of UGLY, that thing shouldnt be built in any country.
other page December 11th, 2009, 09:53 PM Nice design, very unique looking
Abdallah K. December 12th, 2009, 01:57 AM Thats a strange building, I dont like it
Boogie December 12th, 2009, 05:03 AM There are no news about the building. We can forget it.
Thread for close. If we will have any information on Polish forum we share for sure.
