Bethlehem (Arabic: بيت لحم‎, Bayt Laḥm (help·info), lit "House of Meat"; Greek: Βηθλεέμ Bethleém; Hebrew: בית לחם‎, Beit Lehem, lit "House of Bread") is a Palestinian city in the central West Bank, approximately 10 kilometers (6 mi) south of Jerusalem, with a population of about 30,000 people. It is the capital of the Bethlehem Governorate of the Palestinian National Authority and a hub of Palestinian culture and tourism.

Thanks for these photos. I thought Bethlehem was administered by Israel. Has governate changed?

As of 1993, Israel doesn't administer nor control any Palestinian city and it doesn't administer any Palestinian settlement.

looks nice but it needs a massive renovation, i dunno why Israel and Palestine dont renovate those important cities for chirstianity, u guys would at last 10 million tourist a year if those cities were nice and renovated, money going down the drain..... :ohno:

well Beit Lechem in Hebrew means "house of bread".

The Arabic equivalent of Hebrew "lehem" is "lahm". I guess the Muslims preferred to use the Arabic equivalent (meaning "meat") to preserve the pronunciation instead of calling it "Beyt Jubz" or something.

Nope, Bethlehem or other cities in the West Bank never was administered by Israel. Bethlehem is still run by Palestinian Christian. Our mayor of Bethlehem is a Palestinian Christian.
