Tajrish square a very crowded square and the gateway to Northen Tehran, although it looks old and like a ghetto but it's somuch fun to hang out here and you see many cute girls and guys walking by and uyou can chill in many of the restaurants and fast foods nearby. Shop in the Bazaar and the market, visit a shrine nearby go to malls, people watch and get taxis and bus to all over Tehran from here :)

Very warm in the summer however Tehran in winter is cold, the weather in December/January (when I'm usually there!) is around -2 and it snows up to a foot sometimes. Women in north Tehran districts still dress classy though lol :)

Well, Ankara has something like 4.5 million in population, and most of them end up on those streets I posted :D (we don't have the wide choice of places to hang out in Ankara that we have in Istanbul (I miss Istanbul :())

Yes, that is because Ankara has a larger percentage of university students than other major cities in Turkey as there are a couple of major universities located here.

Istanbul is a city of opposite extremes, Ankara is more in the middle. Istanbul has far more liberal and far more conservative neighbourhoods than Ankara.

Istanbul is like a little Turkey. Ankara is more secular, it has not a religious site like Istanbul. I was several times in Ankara and I love it.

Marrakech is really interesting. Religious but a great tourist attraction.

Yes, something like that. In Istanbul you have both the clubs on the bosphorus where there are wild parties and you also have places like the district of Fatih which is a mini Iran. In Ankara thou you don't get either extremes.

Contrary to popular belief and what is shown in the media, those 'all covering' outfits are not common in Iran except in Mosques and Holy Places. The number of people wearing them has declined a lot in the past decades for a variety of reasons. Also Turkish carsaf is different style than Iranian chador.

Of course there are some exceptions.......like Qom

Well there are different types of "facemasks". There are traditional ones which are mostly worn by older ladies like these

There is also an all-white cover-up that I can't find a picture of that is also traditionally worn by older ladies.

The all-black one was really uncommon in Morocco a few years back but now we see more and more of them. They're still a minority and the more common relgious attire is the hijab. In any case, pictures posted here showed only veiled women but those cities are not exclusively religious. Mogador (Essaouira) for example is supposed to be a very hippy place and a surfing destiny.

Well thank you thank you very much :) But seriously, people generally assume that ladies from countries where they cover up aren't good-looking. Back in Morocco I have known Saudi girls who used to wear secular clothes that were absolutely beautiful.

As you know Iran has a dress code for women and men. Women have to all have a heard scarf and wear an overcoat no matter what nationality or religion you have.

And men can not wear shorts, which is not as bad as women but just the whole idea of dress code is so sad and ridiculous but Tehrani women try to make the dress code even stylish, which is nice :)

It's a district right at the top of Tehran amongst mountains called Darband... I suppose it could be described as a creek maybe.. It's popular with Tehranis for much needed r&r in the evenings :)

This place looks so much like Darband in tehran. Very beautiful, except the photos look mostly like Tehran 30 years ago before the stupid Mullahs come to power and force all women to wear veil.

Its nice to see that the Iranian girls make the best out of the current political/religious situation they are in. Very beautiful and stylish!! I will say...these pics have opened my eyes a bit. Not that I ever doubted persian beauty, but i didnt know that they were allowed to wear anything but all black. Because in Syria, when we see a bus or pack of Iranians, they are covered in black from head to toe, however they also come to the mosque in damas for religious reasons, so that makes sense.
