the very original perspectives, were promissing really, a very successful architecture, and athmosphere. A street and a square of lights like in Time
square. The curves of the arena and the tower, and everything really were amazing. It would not be a building only, but a complex of entertainment, with a semi realisitic athmosphere, a dreamland. I have seen recently some newer elevations, i am even afraid to search further and find out that, they changed the initial design. i still hope, they did not.
Anyway it will be a wonderful source for the club's budget, will be wonderful for basketball in Turkey, will be wonderful for fenerbahce's stature in europe, as i hope more people will go to the matches and basketball team will bring an important cup to turkey, probably before the footballers.

Don't know about Basketball, but at Football its very hard, because turkish team can just have 8 foreign players.

I see you're a fan of fenerbache, I wonder why turkey teams have so much money for the construction of these stadiums plus the knowledge that players generally are not sold because teams doesn´t need it but buy a lot of players from all over the world and yet only 1 team had a european titule. I'm from Uruguay and lugano said this that economically are very good but because there is no relationship between succes in a european level and the economic potentially of the turkey`s teams

One reason is that turkish clubs can have just 10 foreign players.
And the quality of the turks is not so good.

For a basketball arena, I would give this arena the edge over Zalgiris because its seating configuration makes zero compromises for other sports. It's built purely for basketball with basketball sightlines. Zalgiris has a multi-purpose layout to accomodate hockey.

Because Ice Hockey isn't popular in Turkey and FB do not have a Handball team :)

BTW there are rumours that the ckub want to increase the capacity to 15,000 (for Basketball).

Our home team is just "Zalgiris", but our arena is the biggest in all Baltics, so we build multi-use arena :)
Stats:
Sports: from 12300 till 15442 (it's basketball capacity)
Concerts: from 2574 till 17500
Circus: till 15400

So, I think, that our arena is absolutelky better, but Fb arena is amazing too :)

Actually for me its not the best arena :D
Not because of i am a Galatasaray fan, because IMO thre is not just one best arena / stadium etc :)
Every venue has got good and bad points.

For Example Cap Nou...great satdium, but no roof ad not so much suites.
Bernabeu steep stands..but old rows..not so comfortable

Also the size of arena is pretty much the same as Arena Stožice in Slovenija and that one has capacity of approx. 12,5k

Whole 1st tier just watched and the 2nd tier was "angry" about it.

its very bad for turkish basketball. real fb fans want sinan erdem back coz tickets r so expensive. we saw the atmosphere was very bad and onl 50-100 real fans in arena. others rich and theater watcher.

It's not an either or Sercan, you can have a modern arena and good atmosphere. TT Stadium was rocking when Gala played Fenerbahce a couple of weeks ago.

But whats the reason why the atmosphere is bad at Ülker Arena?

Because the Fener basketball fans are waching a game just like they do in the NBA, there are just a handfull of fanatics who chant the whole match. At Galatasaray and Besiktas its different, the whole stadium is almost full of fanatics.

Maybe because new arenas take a bit to form their new identity. Arsenal fans used to complain about Emirates' atmosphere as well, not anymore.

And if it's the atmosphere that worries you than Abdi Ipekci is great, no reason for Gala to build their own arena.

Sercan, you are missing the point. Like I mentioned earlier, the Besiktas and Galatasaray fans are much more fanatics, obviously a 10k stadium full of fanatics who are chanting makes more sound then 3k people in a stadium for 12k.
