ive recently sold a property in dubai and have too fly out there too exchange contracts.. ive got one week hoildays and want too bank a cheque and buy another property..
if the cheques gonna take one week to clear i wont have clear funds too buy another property
any know how long it takes for a cheque to clear
i bank with emerates bank ( saving account )

It should take no more than 3 working days - some banks have a 24hr express clearing service you can pay for.

it is not different than the normal cheque, it clears in 3 working days. The only difference is that the amount in a manager cheque is guaranteed and blocked for you to cash it to your account. Unless it is returned back through the cheques owner to the isssuing bank, then dont worry money will be recieved in 3 days.

i would just take it to the issuing bank and cash it right there and then and deposit the cash in my account the same day.

hang on i thought a MANAGERS cheque clears instantly. i sold a property a couple of weeks ago and got paid by managers cheque. the funds were cleared within 15 mins !!!! I BANK WITH EMIRATES BANK TOO !!
