The Estate is complete.

A new phase is currently ongoing.

Sparklight completes Abuja King's Court Estate

REAL estate developers, Messrs Sparklight Property Development Company Limited, (SPDCL), have completed an expansion scheme at the King's Court Housing Estate, Abuja. The project adds 35 housing units to the estate, which already houses some 300 families.

The estate, located on a 1.24 hectares of land at Jabi District, Cadastral Zone, was developed under a joint venture arrangement with the landowner. House types ranges from three-bedroom detached to semi-detached and four-bedroom flats are provided at the estate. Prices range from N4.5 million to N8 million per unit.

Mortgage facilities for subscribers are being provided by Stallion Home Savings and Loan Limited, which is offering loans to National Housing Fund (NHF) contributors.

Chairman, Sparklight Group, Mr. Toyin Adeyinka, an engineer, said buyers at King's Court Estate "are given a free hand to amend their houses to suit their taste without destroying the aesthetics of the estate."

He pleaded with government to fast-track allocation of land to genuine developers, assuring that his company was prepared to double its present yearly output of 300 housing units in the next two years.

Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank (FMBN), Mr. Abdulsalam Ahmed, assured that the bank was ready to finance housing projects proposed to achieve what he described as "the common goal of providing affordable mass housing for Nigerians and in particular, contributors to the NHF scheme."

Ahmed, represented by the General Manager, Operations, Alhaji Salisu Ahmed, disclosed that FMBN is exploiting other opportunities for affordable financing for homeownership. He said the NHF had recorded N34 billion as aggregate collections by March 2008 from 3.7 million contributors, and was financing about 39,489 housing units nationwid
