I visited Nafpaktos for the first time this year and I thought it was a fantastic little town. Extremely vibrant and people everywhere, cars were jammed and took a while to get to the harbour :D

If you have not already been, I suggest stopping by if your are around the area for a coffee or a meal by the beautiful Venetian harbour.

I'm fron Nafpaktos and it's indeed a really nice town...The problem you describe of the jammed cars is much better now due to the ring road which was fully opened last month...Although it is a common secret that the inhabitants of Nafpaktos (unfortunately) go nowhere without their cars...

I have always believed that "less is often best" when it comes to using light to show off a building.

The fairy/neon lighting (?) on the venetian fortress looks tacky and detracts from what appears to be an attractive town.

Local authorities should show more restraint and resist ill-conceived solutions such as this. I would urge the authorities to seek out more professional lighting solutions if they wish to highlight the fortresse's architectural elements.

Let's not debase our heritage because some local mayor want's to stay in office.

But no doubt a great town that warrants a visit.

It's a Christmas/Easter decoration only. The normal period during the year there is no such decoration, only lights.
