I'd like to see how they calculated that, there is no wage discrimination between men and women in Turkey (we are not the USA, wage discrimination is against the law here), they must have used some other method of calculation.

I'd like to see how they calculated that, there is no wage discrimination between men and women in Turkey (we are not the USA, wage discrimination is against the law here), they must have used some other method of calculation.

A lot of the wage inequalities between genders is based on the fact that women:

-Have different jobs, generally less paid than those held by men
-Work part time or not at all much more frequently than men
-Tend to less frequently then men get active for higher wages, collectively, and promotions, individually.
-Are indirectly or directly discriminated, those things are hard to measure.

The first three causes of gender inequality in wages are still the result of a sexist society where women from their child ages to adulthood are socialized in ways that discourage them to take the most rewarding and well-paid roads.
