Great movie, thanks! More than 11 minutes of experiencing a tram ride.
By the way, how come I don't see any reflection from the front window?

A Ride From South to North via Western Part of Hong Kong Island
This is one of my successful and favorite video that I did in Hong Kong. The lighting is good, streets are not busy, the bus was not full, and skyscrapers along the hillside are captured in this video.
The video was recorded 1 week ago during the following day of Mid-Autumn Festival. The ride begins at Ap Lei Chau, an island south of Hong Kong Island but connected with a bridge. Then, it headed west to Wah Fu and Pok Fu Lam and then East to Sheung Wan and Central. The video ends at 2IFC and a bonus of Virgin Atlantic Exhibition inside IFC Mall is added.
The route is depicted as shown in the map.

that link works perfect, I enjoyed a lot that video it's amazing, so many 2 floor buses and so few cars, the quality is nice, it's really a virtual journey for someone who has never been in an asian city :). Thank you very much!

I enjoyed part D. The links for B and C doesn't seem to work.
At the end of the clip a new tram car can be seen, without open windows but probably with aircon. So they are replacing the old ones?
HKT
November 4th, 2003, 09:06 PM
HKT now has three new trams, which are called Millennium Tram. They don't have a/c yet. But there are rumors that the 4th tram will be a/c equipped. However, the first problem that they had to deal with is the voltage supply. Up to date, none of the old ones have been upgraded.
If you saw the clip, you will also notice that there is a tram #120. It has the previous look (1949-1990 generation) and design.
Cheers:cheers:

Part D is okay too! Some very famous buildings can be seen: BOC, Lippo, HSBC and 2IFC. When were those video shots taken? I don't see many people wearing shorts, while it can be quite hot there.

Good observation hoogbouw! It turned cool since October but it got warm again the past two days. The weather report predict that the temperature will drop to late 10s and early 20s Celsius next week.

To be honest, our hosting server doesn't allow us to let large files to be downloaded especially video files streaming. It somewhat discourages me in some ways....:(
Anyway, if anyone doesn't mind these slow links, please feel free to:
1. Download using "Right Click and Save" or;
2. Copy and Paste Link using Real One Player "Open file/URL".
I will keep them up as possible as I can.
All files (.rmvb) will be Real Media with VBR Encoding, which requires the latest version of Real One Player.
Thank you and enjoy~:)

[Bus Video] A Ride From South to North via Western Part of Hong Kong Island

A little note for downloading.
If you experience a slow download speed, which is below 20kbps, there could be a possibility that there're many people downloading and I would recommend to downloading at a later time. Under normal circumstances, the speed is usually somewhere between 100-300kbps depending on your location.
Hope you enjoy~ :p

[Bus Video] A Ride Along Nathan Road and Lai Chi Kok Road
The filming was done on a later Sunday afternoon which shows the bus is still fully packed along this busy street.
The bus is one of the newest additions to KMB with a chassis manufactured by Volvo and body by Wright. Aside from being a low floor bus with 4 LCD TVs for passenger information, its newest feature is that the bus came with a straight stairway for easier access.

By the way, i don't think the video of Union Square has been relized here yeat. Here it is:
Large video, Real Player (15MB)
http://www.union-square.com.hk/images/movie/intro.rm
- Good video, nice music, but the quality is quite low.
Small video, Quick Time (3.7MB)
http://www.union-square.com.hk/images/movie/unionsquare.mov
- Smaller video, lower quality.
I have all ready seen the video since last year, it's was going very smooth but now it the speed is low quality.
I agreeed what you are saying. :)

50 Years - History of Hong Kong Public Housing

You will need a software to do videocaps, Ulead Video Studio, Adobe Premiere, or even Window Movie Maker that comes with Windows XP Professional are some examples.
rmvb is a type of media that needs Real Player. The latest version is Real Video 10. You'll need Real Player to play rmvb files and Real Producer to make rmvb files.
This is a good reference site that I always go...

Music Video of Hong Kong in the 1980s
By Radio Television Hong Kong for the Hong Kong Educational Department
This mtv is part of a program of social studies for primary four students (4th grade). The whole program has changed in the 1990s so this is a classic...
I found it from my old VHS tape but I still managed to capture it into a video file.
Enjoy!~

Almost al of these video's are unavailable now. Is there someone who have links to great new video's. I like to see these video's about HK projects and it is a shame that I can't go to HK to see it with my own eyes.
