Wow, even Fosters has penetrated into Albania, lol. (I think its one of the worst Australian beers around, no one drinks it in Australia, yet its the most famous Australian beer worldwide !).

haha my cousin is in this pic....and the guy in the back where u can only see the beard is my friend lol. well this is one of the best clubs in tirana in my opinion. I love the music, i love the crowd. Not many people can get in this club because you need a membership card to get in or know some people. It looks kinda cool because instead of tables they have some huge cans and stuff like that. And I like it how it has balconys. Definetaly something special that i havent seen anywhere else in the world.

I'm Bulgarian/Canadian/Chinese. I'm Bulgarian by blood, Canada is my home and I've lived in China and Taiwan for many years, so I am all three... Anyways, I'd love to go to Albania. I've been telling my friends that if they want to make some real money they'd better get investing in Albania within 1 to 3 years. Honestly, it's such a beautiful country with a perfect georgraphic position that within 10 years it will become a big name in European tourism. Anyway, here's a few pics of me at a local Calgary club two weeks ago, just so you guys can put a face on me. Hopefully I don't ruin your thread with my photos as I certainly can't compete with beautiful Albanian girls that like to make out with other beautiful Albanian girls. I'm the guy with long hair who never smiles, unless I see something I like. (See sentence above about the kind of girls I look up to = they make me smile)

Im glad u have this enthusiasm for albania, and appearently u also have some knowledge about it.. I'm not located in albania, I live in Norway - but i've been on vacation in Albania some times, and it definetly has BIG potential... I've also been to Turkey and Spain for example - Albania cant compete with them on an "overall-basis", but Albania definetly has some qualities that are far much better then Turkey (Alanya wich i didnt like at all)... The best potential with albania is the possibility for development of many different turism-sectors, not only the usual beach holidays...
Its unique history with many museums, monuments etc,
its unique, dramatic and very varied nature (from tropical to alps) etc. are special qualities very few countries have..

Albanias main problem for the moment is infrastructure: highways, electricity, airports, harbors etc. must be on a higher level in order to attract big investors of higher standards. This is being worked with as we speak, and i think most of it (the most important) will be finished in about 5 years. Then i give it another 5 years to develop a good name on the tourist market: so yes i agree with you - in about 10 years i think albania will be a high class destination :cheers:

Reggaeton is cool for me :) i love the way chicks dance to this music lol... its crazy :nuts: But House is definetly my favourite party music... Trance is a bit to extreme for me :) hehe... but as long as the atmosphere is cool, the place looks good, and the chicks are HOT - im usually ok with most genres (except heavy metal :ohno: )

Raggaeton is pretty popular in Tirana, i personally wouldn't listen to that music for fun lol but here in america when i go to clubs and parties i love it cause the girls start grinding all up on you
And i like hip hop/rap too girls really go crazy on this too so ye
techno and trace is really fast, and they start going crazy when they dance, they look like they're about to lose their mind, i don't really kno how to dance for techno lol but w.e as long as the girls are hot and willing to do stuff im all up for it (here in america at least)

To be quite honest i have no idea!I do live in Manchester and DJ'ing is my part time job,lol.Few small clubs,private parties and many times Albanian parties,that's what i do.But it's the nature of my job that doesnt give me much time for DJ'ing.Last summer (August) i been to Shengjin and had a talk with the owner of one of the places that i thought it could be the right place for what i do.He seemed impressed after watching few videos of my parties.Now the system i have is not just set of turntables,cd deck,mixer and mic but pretty much everything needed for a high atmosphere.From laser lights (one of them the most powerful RGB 500mW) to the smoke machines,snow machines,projector and all that kind of thing.My relatives here in Manchester think im crazy for spending a money on all that stuff but i don't care,lol.That's what i like to do.

So i decided to send everything back to Albania and just keep a CD Deck over here.It's going to be difficult though because i hate driving from UK to Albania,but maybe a friend of mine who does that way regulary will do it for me.

i highly doubt they're anywhere close to those in the US. i've been to the vast majority of clubs in the north and i can safely say they suck. i haven't been to the rest but judging from the pics, they're pretty low. as for the girls some are cute but most are typical eastern european white trash. as to talking to them they're pretty chill, just other guys are mad funny in albania when they try to hit on girls :lol: it's like they're trying to throw insults at them instead of flirting.

Guys: Shorties utterly trash, either fat arses or bone-skinny ... same marine style hair cut though.

thats part of the problem, its weird how they don't even try all they say is:
"barazimi ne xhep"....however i fail to see how going home alone and jerking off to digi-porn-previews is a tie:nuts:

I think its also cause they don't really drink at all, we all know alcohol is necessary and they would rather sip on juice or coffee(at midnight:nuts:). this could be cause they can't afford it although i am not sure. Also if they hook up the girls are called whores:bash: so the whole thing is rather complicated.

On the bright side, the nightlife scene is relatively new in albania and its rapidly changing.

I am heading over next month, after poland and hungary it will probably not look so good. But i will provide a fair report on the scene.

Well it is true that Pristina has better night life than Tirana. My ex was from Tirana and I was not so satesfied with night life there...when in another hand Pristina has long experience with bringing famous DJ's...some of them even perform on MTV.

I agree, thats probably the best club in Prishtina.... This is the place you want to go if you want to have a real clubbing experience... Lots of famous DJ's from around the world has played here, and the atmosphere is great... Personally I had an amazing time here... and the best part, its both an indoor and an outdoor club :cheers:

P.S. The girls in Albania are more difficult to talk to, even here i live in a neighborhood with greek/italian/albanian etc people and the girls are usually prudes and hang out with the crowd they go to the club with...and i noticed a lotta girls would rather grind up on each other than random guys

Problem for guys that cant get these girls is that many guys try the same line over and over, or they try to insult the girl so they look tough in front of their friends rather than try to talk to them....anyway, its a club.

i don't live in Kosova but from what i'm hearing you guys are having trouble getting girls over there. I don't know how it is in the clubs there or in Albania because i havent spent that much time but seems like its hard for all the guys there to get chicks. I know Albanian girls have different mentality. And guys don't know that many pick up lines and become desperate which makes the girls loose interest very fast. Not trying to show off or anythign but here in the US every weekend i go in a club i get at least three or four numbers. Sometimes girls come and ask me to dance which i believe if I was in Kosova or Albania that would have never happened.

Actually almost a decade ago there used to be a club where a Heavy Metal band was playing and heavy/thrash metal fans were gathering, but it was short-lived.

I saw somewhere a place called Tirana Rock with a logo very similar to Hard Rock Cafe but didn't went inside to see what kind of place it was. Other then that I doubt there will be any other place. Albanian nightlife is in infancy and not really that exciting, let alone having every niche finding its place.

Tirana Rock Cafe is pretty cool. It's a pub that also has live music sometimes and the crowd is pretty nice.

I don't know I';v never been in there...mainly because I remember the way it used to be a few years ago...and its owner (:ohno:)...so maybe I still wouldn't go in there.

I know there is an alternative pub in Tirana with hardcore metal/punk etc. One of my good friends likes that type of music and he always tells me that he goes to this place where hard metal bands play. Its somewhere near Kinostudio I think like underground stuff. I never went lol.

BTW Mumja closed down like 2 weeks ago....

Mjaft Fest this summer had some alternative bands. I think Asgje Sikur Dielli is the best Albanian rock band. You guys should've heard their cover of Mka shku menja me u fejue.

This amazing club had opened just outside of Tirana near Lunder. It was called Mai Tai. It was a pool resort and a hotel but at night it was a high class club. Very hard to get in with reservations only. I celebrated my bday there.
