sweet looking tower. My only wish would be if they use more glass & less concrete. Looks like this stuff is becoming Indian highrises eternal problem. They need to realise that these concrete towers must be painted every 4 years as the paint washes off or else they'll become eye sore.

Krishna....we dont have much hope on this, and i am against anything which come on beach, which may hinder the natural beauty of our beach...otherwise they will have to build it in an environment friendly way....:)

I am not an engineer, but i feel use of laterite stones can give extra strength for the building!!Laterite is available locally and is cheap!! experts can correct me if i am wrong!!

Its width is thin like wall thickness (20cm) .but look to its lenth it is about 120cm considering the cross section area as a square it is arround 50cm x 50cm
(which may provide generaly ) so it have same strenth that consider to square section.
one more factor they consider may be the wind pressure .the longer side is perpendicular to sea .So the highrise structure can withstand wind pressure which may blown with a high velocity at night.
And the same time structure will not have massive pillers projecting outside which may commonly create problems while doing interior works.

another think is masonry wall of laterite act just as partition wall it will not take any sort of dead load or live load of the structure.

As clarified by gopinath, 'filler walls' has nothing to do in a 'framed structure' like this. The load is transmitted to the earth by the beams and columns only.
