yeah.. they're not the most, elegant buildings around but I think if you look at the painted ones Ithink they are quite nice. Let them paint it and finish it up nicely before wishing them an earthquake.

However there are several buildings in navi mumbai that I really would want to wish an earth quake or maybe a missile of some sort. It's the skinny on one side fat on the other side with a big fugly greek/roman classical style balcony smack dab on the top middle part.

the building has topped out since Feb 09, no further rise in height after that.

the building next to ITC has been like that for the last 4 years. yup, close to 30 floors. but no work has been happening since 2005. may be some legal issue.

i have to upload quite a few updates. will do it tomo.

i agree to that, nothing great about the design. also making all the 4 blocks stand in a straight line wasnt a gr8 idea at all. they could have easily done away with one tower and made three towers of 50-55 storeys each without compromising much on the FSI and the construction time.

Agreed. I see that go on in other threads too. Anytime someone says anything even slightly nasty about say a particular politician... you have these people come out of nowhere and continue to bash the guy further and derail the discussion. At best, those comments should just be ignored.

Imperial twin towers has taken like 6-8 yrs to top off. did you know a highrise called Legend has now become a never ending legend. Things in India are very slow due to opposition, burocratic red tape & environmentalists filing a case. Things are no different in India compared to pakistan in highrise construction.

no bro, the building had already topped out. 49th floor was constructed as early as Feb 2009. now they are constucting 3 floors (non residential) on the top of each tower (apart from the scheduled 49/31/31/31 floors), may be for some amenities like spa, community hall, bar etc.

I dont know whether this is a part of the original plan or because of the increased FSI.:ohno:

so if u count these (non residential) floors too, then the buildings will have a total floor count of 52/34/34/34 respectively.
