Yenagoa City Development Strategy

Nigeria Urban Development Strategy,
Part of urban designs and Master Plan. As the capital of the Niger Delta in Nigeria,Bayelsa State is experiencing rapid growth and the capital city Yenagoa and it is expected that the population of approximately 50000
will over the next 20 years grow to 650000 .
In addition to the rapid population growth, the city
with the problems of construction in the marshy terrain and the
Flood danger faced in the Niger Delta needs to overcome these
Challenges and the urban development
in order to do these there qre needs for sustainable railways to be constructed. Capital City Development Authority AS & P with a comprehensive
urban development concept has taken the chance to combact the challenges. AS & P's aim for a strategic Yenagoa
and to establish long-term vision. It has solid framework for future developments offer, as well as include the necessary flexibility in order to meet short-term requirements - unknown aspects and changing
respond to priorities.

For AS & P was to continue of crucial importance of close cultural ties
the local population in the river landscape in the shape and structure of the city to become visible. The Yenagoa Development Master Plan 2007 provides the main element the development strategies. It defines the essentials of urban design elements and structures as well the distribution of different land uses in the City. Furthermore, there are principles of Green, infrastructure,
Transport and flood protection systems, Oxbow Lake Tourism Resort, Iceland Urban Structure

I don't think this will ever get started until the militant in that state are eliminated/chased out by the Gov. No sane investor will invest in such a project while there's a bunch of terrorist running around causing them problems.

That's Bayelsa State. The home of where the the vast majority of Niger Delta terrorist groups ingage in their destructive operations.
