Jo October 25th, 2003, 03:48 PM I hope they don't change its style too much because it has a very special look and it's one of the older high-rises in the area... also the trees they have (had?) in front would be nice to keep.
..aah well, we will see next year. In any case, it will look more modern.. that's great!
kiku99 October 26th, 2003, 07:58 AM nice. Krung Thai Bank is getting big. :)
BKKinTO October 27th, 2003, 07:21 PM Look more modern,Yeah It's big because of geverment own,if I'm not wrong.

Bkkhigh March 12th, 2004, 10:53 PM many banks are now having nice buildings. it should be Bangkok Bank's turn now to construct a new one as it is #1 argest bank in Thailand.

yeah, Currently if I'm not mistaken...There r 2 way to installe the glass window...
1. by using window frame
2. by using frameless technology which also seperated in to another 2 minor ways
2.1 Cable stayed Technology, by using the cable wire which hold all the glasses together without any support column..
2.2 "Spider Technology", using the "PIN" what has 3 legs that will support different piece of glass and hols them together...
......:)
Jo March 13th, 2004, 04:32 AM Interesting info! :tongue2:
BKKinTO March 13th, 2004, 08:52 PM I'm sure later we will have more building using those technology.

The cable stay looks so fragile hwen they cover a large area like there. But I suppose it's strong

Chad April 17th, 2004, 05:23 AM The wrapping is ones to protect the facade from some couses such as ash, dust ect...otherwise it would look like as old as a year old building eventhough it just finished !! :D

Well, it is.
kiku99 June 17th, 2004, 08:39 PM i think the entrance looks really cool. but i don't like the bridge connecting it to the tower.
Jo June 18th, 2004, 01:36 AM I'd imagine the aluminum looks great shining in the reflections of a blue sky or the nightlights, but against a uniform gray sky it will be just as dull as the sky itself.
So with better weather this little tower will sparkle I hope. We'll see soon :)

shrunkenhead August 30th, 2004, 09:27 PM I think they did a good job with the remodeling. More Thai buildings can use this kind of update. Thanks for the pics, Chad.

Chad October 7th, 2004, 05:16 PM really?, I think it looks ok.
Jo October 8th, 2004, 01:58 AM I expected the walkway to look better once inside the glassbox, and didn't think the glassbox itself would have an open front.. or will they cover the hole later?
Anyway, I think it looks kinda good but I'm still a bit disappointed.
BKKinTO October 8th, 2004, 04:15 PM I wish it could be glasses along the walkway,it would make it nicer.but it's not that me from what I see.
Chad October 8th, 2004, 04:17 PM appearently it's not done yet, but I'm not sure if they will install glasses along walk-way or not., I'm negative that they will. Talking about dissappointment, I am too but not much.

petey November 16th, 2004, 06:59 PM does the "pheonix" (the square glass area on the building) lights up at night? It would looks really awesome if it's light up from the inside, through the glass, of the building.
Jo November 17th, 2004, 12:45 AM That's a good idea petey, I hope they'll make good use of it. The light would have no wall to bounce against, if you know what I mean, but I'm sure they can create a good effect with lights anyway.
