De Snor September 2nd, 2004, 08:39 PM Yup , leaving a disgusting building like Centralna and walking into the next century across the street :D Paolo September 6th, 2004, 07:30 PM And one more shot (today 1pm): http://strony.aster.pl/aligapa/widok%20z%20pkin.jpg delfin_pl September 18th, 2004, 06:31 PM Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport has again become a big building site. PPL has commissioned a Polish and Spanish building consortium Ferrovial Agroman, Budimex and Estudio Lamela to construct a modern air passenger terminal with a capacity of 6.5 million travelers annually. Construction work will take 2 years. Together with the now operating Terminal 1, the overall capacity will be 10 million passengers. The terminal extension will be accompanied by an infrastructure project near the airport. The project will provide a new road connection with the city centre, Puławska street and the A2 motorway. A train feeding line leading to the airport is also planned. http://www.rzeczpospolita.pl/teksty/wydanie_030524/ekonomia_a_5-1.F.gif http://www.xpphotoalbum.com/data/500/14087terminal_0001.jpg?8782 http://www.xpphotoalbum.com/data/500/14087terminal_0002.jpg?6885 http://www.xpphotoalbum.com/data/500/14087terminal.jpg?5382 http://www.lotnisko-chopina.pl/images/dziennik/07_09_2004_00.jpg http://www.lotnisko-chopina.pl/images/dziennik/07_09_2004_04.jpg http://www.lotnisko-chopina.pl/images/dziennik/07_09_2004_03.jpg and here some pics of the old terminal http://www.xpphotoalbum.com/data/500/14087img_00038.jpg?9201 http://www.xpphotoalbum.com/data/500/14087img_00033.jpg?614 http://www.xpphotoalbum.com/data/500/14087img_00032.jpg?6419 http://www.xpphotoalbum.com/data/500/14087img_00031.jpg?3872 http://www.xpphotoalbum.com/data/500/14087img_00018.jpg?4579 http://www.xpphotoalbum.com/data/500/14087img_00014.jpg?2288 http://www.xpphotoalbum.com/data/500/14087img_00011.jpg?4093 http://www.xpphotoalbum.com/data/500/14087img_00010.jpg?6212 Singidunum September 18th, 2004, 06:36 PM good news :okay: but that other airport in Poland looks better. anyways it was about time because on the thread-worst airport many people answered that it was warsaws one. Will there bi Rondo 2? Jacek October 1st, 2004, 09:41 PM Some do, some don't. I personally don't like it, wish it had been blown up in 1989. Rondo in Polish means roundabout, Rondo 1 is located near the ONZ (United Nations) roundabout. Why is it 1 ? Well Skanska will build a complex nearby called Rondo City and there is no more space for any more buildings there, Im guessing it's purely a marketing thing. Thats an excellent looking train. Who manufactures this? Is this Polish design and build train? It looks fantastic. Yes, it's Polish design. They will be built in Nowy Sacz near Krakow. are the new trains gonig to be running on old infrastructure or new rails? Unfortunatelly they'll be running on old rails... But generally this project it's an excellent idea because the first line will be running to Jozefow, where I'm living now :D wholagun January 16th, 2005, 07:21 PM wow your back, did you finally get internet. AdamT January 16th, 2005, 07:28 PM BTW, what company designed this train? What's the name of the train model? :) SoboleuS January 17th, 2005, 11:44 AM wow your back, did you finally get internet. Not exactly... My home isn't connected yet, and I have to post from school. What's the name of the train model? :) It's not completely new design, it's only modernisation of old suburban trains ;) They were designed and will be constructed by "Zaklady Naprawcze Taboru Kolejowego" - Railroad Rolling-stock Reparation Plants AdamT January 17th, 2005, 08:14 PM Well, the train looks new, modern and fabulous i have to say! http://www.rynek-kolejowy.pl/news05/img/0501_059-skm01.jpg http://www.rynek-kolejowy.pl/news05/img/0501_059-skm02.jpg http://www.rynek-kolejowy.pl/news05/img/0501_059-skm03.jpg :D Kommandant Mark January 17th, 2005, 09:33 PM Awesome trains - what line are they for?
