View Full Version : RECENTLY COMPLETED : The Majestic Grande
Chad October 26th, 2003, 02:28 PM This Marketing Tower was previously named by Me as "Unknown 39 Storey Tower"...lol...:D ...anyway, I went to the site and asked the guard in front of the site which he seems to doesn't know anything, but yeah...
Marketing tower is a 39-storey residential Tower located just right next to the "SUKHUMVIT TOWER" in Sukhumvit Soi 1.....According to the sign in front of the construction site : The tower will be finished by the middle of 2004.
The construction company is the same as The World Trade Center : K-Tech Construction.
BTW...I still can't find the rendering yet, anybody??..:?
Oct, 24 2004 Updates :....Currently on th 17th floor...22 more floors to go...:)

kiku99 October 26th, 2003, 09:36 PM hmm. i guess Thai people really like number 3 or 9.
since most buildings in Bangkok donot surpass 39 storeys:D
most are around 30-39 storeys.:)
Jo October 26th, 2003, 11:50 PM They should make more 93 storey skyscrapers :)
BKKinTO October 27th, 2003, 08:56 PM Yeah I agree with you Jo. :D
Chad November 16th, 2003, 11:37 AM Nov 16, 2003 :....Currently on the 24th floor, 15 more to go before topped-out by the begin'ng of next year..

Jo January 3rd, 2004, 01:08 PM Hmm.. they must hurry up if it is to be topped out in the beginning of this year. Looks like they have 14 floors to add first :dunno:
Chad February 1st, 2004, 07:03 AM This is the bad news :
I went to the site and asked the security When exactly this tower going to be finished. and He saids that The Tower it's self is actually 24 storey, but the 39-floors is the maximum height that the tower can extended to. It's structurally built to supports 34-full-floor which can extende anytime needed.....
......Thats sad....:bleep:
Jo February 3rd, 2004, 07:26 PM Oh no.. it was going to be so tall and slim
Well, at least we are going to see it completed sooner ;)
Why did he mention both 34 and 39 floors as possible future max.. would the top five floors be smaller, like at Taipei101?

Jo March 12th, 2004, 05:06 AM Sure!
BTW, I hope for glass with no distinct color at all so it can get this effect (http://kyckling.nu/fult/bilder/fult/skrapor2.jpg) (first highrise to the left in the pic)
Makes the building look clean or something
Edit: image not showing up, oh well :)

Yeh, I hope they will use that type of glass too Jo, I dont really like those mercury-reflecting-colored-glass.....looks old-fashioned already.....For Example my type of glass is the Glass-Box-Entrance at the Krungthai Bank Nan Heard Quarter.....Looking good doesnt it.....

Note : In my opinion, This tower doesnt look bad at all, the dark-ocean-green color windows goes perfectly with the with wall and yet the glass cladding facade on another side has not yet be seen because of the scarf-folding...But yet so far This tower looks good to me...;)

Chad June 3rd, 2004, 01:10 AM Yep, should be around 6-7 Storey high in the sky....
Hitesh June 3rd, 2004, 07:12 AM Yes its higher in that area because of the expressway. Thats why Ploenchit Station has an extra 'floor'.
