Every year, come to punta thousands of tourists from Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Europe & rest of the world

Salto is in north west of the country with coast to Uruguay River.
One of the most famous things in Salto is Salto Grande Dam, a binational hydroelectric complex.
In the city live 100.000+ inhabitants & the economic resouces, are the production of citruses & tourism..because in salto is the biggest acuatic park in South Am. Cause in salto, a decades ago, looking for oil, was discovered, thermal waters, being thus, one of the thermal places os quality in America.
With five-stars hotels, etc.

COLONIA DEL SACRAMENTO
Colonia, was founded in 1680 by the Portuguese, during decades and decades was disputed by Spanish Empire & Portuguese, for be a city strategically located, in the union of "rio de la Plara" & "Río Uruguay", where they could had a control in the ships (enemys, smugglers) that could enter to continent for this river, what was not advisable, to the empire that was in this moment governing the city. If a ship did wonna sail in the river had to pay a tax.
Colonia, has an old & a modern areas, the old city (since 1680) was declared
Historic Patrimony of the Humanity by UNESCO.

También son la muestra más significativa del poder de la naturaleza en un país donde las mayores catástrofes son las inundaciones. Una imágen que me quedará por siempre grabada en la cabeza es la del arroyo Maldonado muy desbordado en el año 2002...mirabas alrededor desde el puente de la Barra y prácticamente no se veía tierra firme.

si, a mi me tocó cruzarlo en la balsa en época de inundaciones al cebollatí a la medianoche y metía bastante miedo. De todos modos qué atraso no? que cuando haya un río que todavía se tenga que cruzar en balsa, no recuerdo si permanentemente o solo con inundaciones

Permanentemente. De todos modos no es tan grave, en Río Grande Do Sul muchos ríos se cruzan en balsa y no hablamos precisamente de rodovías secundarias.

Cascadas "Sarandí de Arapey, Salto.

Ese hermoso lugar si mal no recuerdo se encuentra en una estancia privada y el dueño (de mi parte lo entiendo)... no es el mas encariñado con las masas turísticas.

aclaro que la foto de "Sarandí de Arapey Salto"... no es de mi propiedad, no se si tiene (Copiright), me la han enviado x su belleza... simplemente la tomé prestada x un tiempo para exponerla en este hermoso Foro...

x lo general expongo fotos propias o sinó con permiso de autor...

jajaja, no es dificil poner todas las fotos juntas, no se que le ves de dificil...XD
Simplemente pones el codigo de una foto, apretas enter (para cambiar de renglon) y pones el codigo de la otra foto...es facil...
Por ejemplo quedaria algo asi :

Hola y bienvenidos a este thread.
La idea de este thread es que pongamos solo fotos de URUGUAY entero y disfrutemos juntos de las fotos,tanto de paisajes como de ciudades,pero como regla crucial de este thread es postear 5 fotos por tanda,o sea que cada uno de nosotros podra en un post poner 5 fotos,pero podemos postear varias veces al dia.Lo que se debe hacer a las vez es que cada tanda sea del mismo sitio y aclarar de donde son las fotos.Solo 5 por post pero se pude postear varias veces al dia.Bueno espero que colaboren que a medida de que vallamos poniendo fotos va a ser mas placentero verlas a todas juntas y comentenlas.Que sean de lugares nunca vistos de URUGUAY o no muy conocidos tambien,pero podran incluir los clasicos.

Muy bueno el Thread, Seba.
Es verdad que la mayoria que visitamos y comentamos en este foro uruguayo de Skys, somos uruguayos, pero tambien hay muchos foristas sudamericanos,latinos, europeos y de otros paises que buscan noticias o buscan saber por "X" razon sobre el Uruguay, y esta bien, que encuentren un Thread como este, donde podran ver fotos de distintas ciudades y lugares de nuestro pais y no estar buscando o tener que ir a los distintos Thread para tener una vision rapida en imagenes de nuestro pais asi que, GATUNO, muy bien su Thread.:applause::applause::applause:
