Hello All

Does anyone have any news at all on the status of the Ajman Gold project or the sub-developer Orbit Holdings??

Like many others, just a little concerned over the investment and all that!

I have also bought a unit in Ajman Gold by Orbit Holding through Inter Emirates Property. The cheques were received by Real Estate Investment Est. ( REIE). When i approach REIE, they ask me to go to Orbit Holding. Orbit Holding has an office in Nuaimiya Tower. But there is Mr. Hanif, owner of Orbit Holding who keeps tossing the words of continuing the project and having to get NOC from Etisalat and FEWA. IF they never received any NOC, how can they sell the property to us. When i approached ARRA, they simply issued a letter saying that the said developer is not registered with them and advised me to go to court. This is really AMAZING...!!! Just to give you an update on things, I spoke today to Adnan at REIE and he told me that Orbit Holdings will be coming to the REIE offices on the 6th October to thrash out what to do. Without any prompting from me he told me that the outcome would either be to confirm the development and work out a new payment plan for us lot or the cancellation of the project and us receiving ALL of our monies so far paid back. Watch this space!

I have some good news to report; I have the latest update from Orbit Holdings and Real Estate Investment Est. Who have both confirmed to me in person that the Ajman gold project is officially cancelled.

A deal has been worked out between the two and as a result it is official that all investors will be receiving a full refund.

Refunds are scheduled to be issued from the 01/01/2010: investors are being advised to contact either orbit or Real Estate Investment in order to register for their refund.

Thanks toprankinvestor for your message and for your good work. Could you shed a little more light though please on how certain they were, 1) a deal had been reached between REIE and Orbit and 2) that we should register with them for a refund now.

I only say this because in response to an e-mail of my repeating what you said in you post, they said 'About this project you have to wait more days, this matter under discussion going on. Not finish yet.'

I have read your message on the 2nd December 2009, the national day of UAE. Can we believe what you have mentioned about the project cancellation and refund of our HARD E A R N E D money. If it happens, it will be one of the biggest miracles happening in UAE. Hope and wish all these are TRUE.
But the update from my side after contacting Orbit Holding was, one of the 2 Hanif has resigned and left Orbit. Another Hanif is in Pakistan and will be back after EID. May Allah bless all of us on and after EID with the positive and fruitful happenings...Believing in Allah and waiting..

Thank you for your messages, I am very sorry I have taken so long to get back to you, I have just been flooded so many messages from fellow investors.

My latest update which I can give is that there was a meeting which took place earlier this month to deal with the matter within REIE, this was a followup meeting for a previous meeting which took place in November of 2009.

Basically Obit is Finnished - there is no point in contacting them because, the people behind Orbit Holdings are known organized criminals to to Pakistani Government.

At this stage pressure is on for REIE to provide a solution.

I will give further details to all as and when I get them and will post on main forum.

I am new to this group and came across it on a google search. I was relieved to see that I have found other investors fighting the same cause.

I have invested in 2 apartments in Ajman Gold. After over 12 months of chasing people at REIE and orbit Holdings I decided to engage a very good legal firm based in the UAE to fight my cause.

The legal firm had no luck with requesting arbitration with ARRA but they are still trying.

This week I called Jawd Bhaigi at REIE who told me that we will be presented with 2 options by the end of this month to either invest in another development or a partial refund of our monies.

I am not optimistic about this as I have been made several other promises in the past. Lets wait and see until the month end.

I also have REIE's lawyers details and will try to contact him today to confirm the above.

I would encourage all investors to contact REIE and ARRA and be on their backs all of the time.

Dear All,

As an update. I spoke with Ali Tariq who is the main contact for Ajman Gold at REIE. He told me that one of the owners of Orbit Holdings is in prison and the other has fled the country (Mr Hanif).

The lawyer for REIE is asking all investors to complete a complaint form which you should have received by email. I have already completed mine and sent it back to them and they have confirmed acknowledgement.

Once in recepit of all of the complaint forms REIE will start court proceedings against Orbit (even though one is in prison and the other on the run) with a view to gaining approval to auction off the land and redeem the investors with what they can.

All in all, this is going to be a very long process and I am not confident of a result.
