You should go out to East Coast Park and stand on the jetty at night. The lights of the CBD in the distance are amazing!:cool:

True. NTUC has become a marker. Other hints are looking at the roof of Land Tower.

Some of the night shots, like the latestone, seems to only show rows upon rows of lighted windows...and hardly the buildings itself! :D

Well it focuses on the cityscape as a whole, rather than the individual buildings.

I like it becos it shows a normal evening and all the evening lights just feel so...reallllll:eek:

Amazing pictures! The only real problem i can see with Singapore's high-rises is that most of them tend to look quite old. If they were all re-clad in different glass the city would look even more amazing.

Singapore is my no. 1 destination to live after i finish university. Hopefully i will be able to do an exchange there next year. By the time i graduate the new downtown should be well underway.

hmmm...I guess you can see bits of it, although might be obstructed somewhat...

as long as you have a clear view over Marina Bay, should be good for fireworks :cool:

from my view here, fireworks are always being obstructed by the top 3 tallest... but i still can see part of it which is good enough...and when its being shot to the highest, i can see the whole thing...

^ can see Asia Insurance Building! so short... hard to believe it once was the tallest building in Southeast Asia by comparing with the other buildings... and no change for about 50 years already... wonder would that building ever get to be conserved...

and as for noise in image, you can try using noiseware professional...there is a community edition free download, here: http://myk750.lasyk.net/preview/40765/548717097/K750-Software-Windows-Noiseware-Community-Edition.html

this free version since its FREE, has some limitations, i.e you cannot use the extended functions such as the illumination etc...of course if you look hard enough for some ***cough cough*** keys you can use them :)

Thanks Andrew...love the vast expanse of water in the foreground....I guess the workers on 1 Raffles Quay took a break that night though....its crane and floors are usually lit up all night.

OMG! This photo has just blown my mind.
Just in case I'm mistaken - is that really the Fullerton hotel on the tip of the Peninsula? i.e. meaning that everything East of the Fullerton now, is actually on reclaimed land? :dunno: Wow I never knew.

You're right that is the Fullerton Hotel (used to be a General Post Office) and all that land beyond that today has been reclaimed for the new downtown.
