The weather turned magnificent on the 2nd day, as the clouds cleared and the blue skies greeted us. Up the hills in Buda, the buildings shone very nicely amidst the sunshine.

It was a very serene walk at that hour of the morning, probably because the tourist groups were only starting to wake up by then and had not reached the main sights in droves. We could see signs of them though as the buses started rumbling by.

Unlike the Pest side, looks like these buildings have got some new paint and look less run-down.

We found an opening and were faced with a panoramic view of the city. We noticed some painters were taking advantage of the good weather and view to create some nice works. I remember back in Stockholm a few years ago, I had bought some paintings like those as souvenirs (and subsequently left them behind in the UK with another fellow HK forumer). I was not able to find similar works in Budapest at an affordable tourist price.

A bit further away we found another opening that faced the other direction towards the rest of Buda, and more photo-snapping followed.
