Why don't you hurry up and finish building my house in Costa Do Sol?? Lots of excuses as usual. I advise everyone not to do business with Invalco. Mshair March 30th, 2011, 05:32 PM this is a old project located along the new private hospital in front of the portuguese school that should been completed in 2008,but so we are now 2011 and nothing as always in MOZ slowly slowly AOP1MZ April 2nd, 2011, 05:30 PM this is a old project located along the new private hospital in front of the portuguese school that should been completed in 2008,but so we are now 2011 and nothing as always in MOZ slowly slowly What response did you get from Invalco? This is unfair and it is not a Mozambican problem - it is a problem of the management of Invalco. They are just taking our money every year and not finishing the project. Someone needs to write a story on Jornal Noticias or O Pais about this SCAM. alama April 3rd, 2011, 10:04 AM ...the hell is going on with you people and Invalco? evany April 3rd, 2011, 03:07 PM  AOP1MZ April 4th, 2011, 01:10 PM ...the hell is going on with you people and Invalco? We bought property from them and they are building it very very slowly. Almost not moving forward for months and the contractors are blaming each other. Invalco is the company owned by those Aga Khan Ismaelis. Bunch of liars and scam artists. alama April 4th, 2011, 02:06 PM We bought property from them and they are building it very very slowly. Almost not moving forward for months and the contractors are blaming each other. Invalco is the company owned by those Aga Khan Ismaelis. Bunch of liars and scam artists. oh that's terrible! But why are they being slow? Lack of money or something? Btw where are the houses located? How much u guys paid for it? Yeah i totally agree, i advise u guys to call the press: STV, TVM, Notícias or Record. AOP1MZ April 4th, 2011, 10:25 PM oh that's terrible! But why are they being slow? Lack of money or something? Btw where are the houses located? How much u guys paid for it? Yeah i totally agree, i advise u guys to call the press: STV, TVM, Notícias or Record. Oh, there's plenty of money! We don't know the real reason but it's clear that a construction firm has subcontracted to another small firm. So there's a long chain of companies involved in the actual construction of the building rather than Invalco itself. There's also a new private hospital. All the projects are located near the Portuguese school, behind the Fish Market and north of the Clube Maritimo. About 100m from the beach. One of the projects has been halted for nearly 3 years! Bie1 April 5th, 2011, 03:59 PM We bought property from them and they are building it very very slowly. Almost not moving forward for months and the contractors are blaming each other. Invalco is the company owned by those Aga Khan Ismaelis. Bunch of liars and scam artists. Firstly, this is an old project that has already been built two years ago along the coast of Maputo. I don't know what you guys are talking about but Invalco is a construction firm that acts as an agency in case an organization wants to construct a project, they consult Invalco for the construction. The reason why your supposedly home was not built was probably because the investors of that real estate didn't pay Invalco to construct the project. If the investors did not pay Invalco, then they won't do any construction. Invalco is a Chinese company based in Maputo and it is not owned by Aga Khan. Most of the new buildings in Maputo especially downtown where the new Mcel has been built, have all been built by Invalco. The new airport in Inhambane is currently being built by Invalco. This is the wrong place to complain my friend. They are a licensed company and have built many governmental buildings. You should know the difference between a construction agency and an investor. The Aga Khan that you hate so much is the same Aga Khan that is building schools in Maputo and Matola that the Mozambican government can't build but prefer to be corrupt. It is also the same Aga Khan who funded for the refurbishment of the Polana hotel in Maputo. I don't understand why white-Mozambicans complain and be nostalgic about how beautiful everything was during colonial times. It is unfortunate that your country doesn't look as it once was but it's better to think about ways to rebuild your country rather than dwell in the past. Quite frankly, you should be happy that there are investors interested in investing in your country. Not too many countries in Africa have these opportunities. Mshair April 5th, 2011, 06:43 PM My friend BIE The Invalco you know and that we know i think is not the same. First the managers are Ismaili but the company is not from Aga Kanh is unfair to say so because not all are like the Invalco guys. This projects should be completed long ago,but as it stands lots of people are been in court against this guys and the constructor named JOMOFI but its a long story. I think that the problem is not againt the investors but the bad developers and id like to see in such a position that you put money in their hands for 3 or 4 years ago and didnt receive anything, then im sure that you will not be happy about it. Before you talk of whites and blacks whatever you should inform properly alama April 5th, 2011, 06:51 PM Ok folks you can discuss this issue in a mature way(so far u've been doing it fine) but please do not spoil this thread by adding race related convos ok? Bie1 April 5th, 2011, 06:59 PM Mshair, it is good as you clarified that the company is not owned by Aga Khan as AOPMZ mentioned. I thought that was ludacris. Invalco is a chinese comapany under Chinese management unless they recently changed the management. If Invaco had a problem like you guys are mentioning then the Mozambican justice department would have banned them from furthering any more developments because as of currently, they appear to be constructing lots of buildings in Mozambique. They are even currently building the airport in Inhambane and other retail developments. Dude, do you really think they will still be granted a license to work with all these accusations? AOP1MZ April 5th, 2011, 08:29 PM Invalco is NOT Chinese @Bie1, Invalco is a Mozambican firm. Go to their website and see for yourself. I think I already mentioned that before. They are also in a partnership with LenMed of South Africa and they are building the new Private Hospital. And the construction company for Sommerschield Gardens is JOMOFI Construcoes, who has also subcontracted to another firm because they have too many projects and everyone is giving them the tenders - because they are supposedly the best local firm. As for "accusations", Mozambique does not yet have consumer protection. That is why companies do illegal things, false promises, etc. You cannot do anything. If you take them to court, they will pay the judge $5000 and he will rule in the defendant's favour. Better to play nice and be friends with everyone. Very sad that corruption keeps being Africa's best friend. :ohno: I want to invest in Mozambique but this just makes me think twice before doing anything.:ohno::ohno: AOP1MZ April 5th, 2011, 08:48 PM It's me the "fake" Mozambican :) I'm banking on the fact that some of you are feeling homesick hence the tendency to be quite barky. Anyhoo, I was at the site a few weeks ago and took some snaps. The white building is part of the Bela Vista Complex which has been stopped for 3+ years. Investment isn't the main problem, you can build, buy whatever you want as long you go through the correct channels. It's a very attractive place for investment because of a rising middle class, new consumer market, etc. The quality of the services is what I was referring to. alama April 5th, 2011, 09:11 PM AOP do not you speak portuguese? You can see that I even removed my previous posts because I thought they were too unforgiving. ...but thanks for assessments. Maybe one day you can become a forum moderator. Bie1 April 6th, 2011, 01:58 PM You removed your posts because you threw insults at me for no reason and for someone your age, I expected you to behave as an adult and get to understand what we are saying rather than jumping over the roof and insulting people without understanding they are saying. If you think the reason I post in the Moz forum more than my own country- Angola, is to become a moderator, then I feel deeply sorry for you:lol:. If there was a very active user in the Moz forum I won't have even bothered posting here. Thanks for the offer, but I rather prefer not to become a moderator and don't have intentions on being one because I won't commit myself to continue posting in the forum in the long run. evany April 6th, 2011, 05:05 PM :gaah: AOP1MZ April 6th, 2011, 07:33 PM You removed your posts because you threw insults at me for no reason and for someone your age, I expected you to behave as an adult and get to understand what we are saying rather than jumping over the roof and insulting people without understanding they are saying. For more than 1 page you have said nothing that is useful to anyone here, Invalco, Mozambique or anything pertaining to it. Instead you chose to pick a personal fight by retaliating on a past grudge from another thread. May I suggest you do something valuable with your time. It seems like there's a massive manhole in everyone's backyard now! :-) That was not there before, and also a new dirt-road which will eventually become a proper road with the bitumen can be seen behind the last row of houses now. Further north, most of the slums/illegals houses have been removed but a few still stand. Barragon April 6th, 2011, 10:28 PM If you continue the discussin in such an offensive way, you both will be spanked ! alama April 6th, 2011, 10:49 PM I know... AOP1MZ April 7th, 2011, 12:52 PM This is another view of the road behind the most recently developed row of houses. Eventually this road will be tarred and pushed further back. There's still some construction that needs to be done in front of the homes, namely the garage, driveway, etc. Then the housing on the other side will be removed to make way for another group of homes. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5107/5597762664_98c798b804_b.jpg alama April 7th, 2011, 01:02 PM Então vais morar numa dessas casas aí nesse bairro? AOP1MZ April 7th, 2011, 01:02 PM Early in the year, I heard there were some heavy rains, especially during the summer season. The rains were not channeled properly through the construction site because there were no proper pathways. Basically, the water ended up flowing through the half constructed houses :-) and left behind large amounts of sand as can be seen. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5064/5597762246_05a1046473_b.jpg AOP1MZ April 7th, 2011, 01:19 PM Então vais morar numa dessas casas aí nesse bairro?
