Beautiful setting but short towers. BTW the 200m+ Cancun tower is a project as of now...

Amazing beach. Surf and the setting is beautiful. But the skyline is weak. 6/10

Cancun is hot from the weather to everything else!! So prepare yourself to have a great time. From the beach to the ruins to the clubs to the nature around Cancun, you'll have plenty of things to do. ;)

Oh.... and there are LOTS of tourists... :D

Cancun, great place for relax and that's why I gave it 5.5/10. Some cool hotel buildings but skyline? Well, not gonna happen here!

First of all, Cancun is a beach resort. It is not a business center, although there is a city where the locals live nearby. Driving along the main road on the way from the airport is amazing. It is just one awesome hotel after another. It seems like there are hundreds, but a few dozen is more likely.

Second, the weather is extremely humid. I went in September and I could not walk more than a 100 yards before my shirt was completely drenched. I'm not talking a little underarm sweat marks, I mean it felt like it had been dipped in water.

The best deals are the all-inclusives. I stayed at the Cancun Palace. There are about five other Palace Hotels in Cancun and you can go to others without having to pay for food or drinks.

You pay for a certain number of nights and upon arrival they give you a plastic wrist-band. From then on drinks are free and they don't cheat you on the alcohol either. In fact, some of the drunks are quite annoying. The food is also free and it is very good with a lot of variety. There is night time entertainment which is fairly decent. But basically you sit by the pool all day and drink pina coladas. I stayed in the shade because I'm not big on tanning, but I got pretty burned from the time I spent in the pools.

Overall, Cancun is great, but I'd rather go in January when hopefully there is less humidity!!
