This Art-Deco style residential project is located just in the mid-Thong-Lo Road, one of the most construction boom street in Bangkok. The tower it's self is a 30-storey pure-residential with 3-levels of an underground carpark.

All 73-extremely-luxurious units rising from 4th floor to the 30th. A-2-seperated penhouses which located on the top 4 floors are surved with it's own elevators and lobbys.

The central-facilities located on the 2-3rd floors included indoor and outdoor pool.

All of the units has been sold-out since the begining of the year and construction has already started since May this year which expected to be finished by the mid-2005.

the information that I know is it's located on Thonglor across Oishi restuarant.

Chad, do you think it's possible to do a map showing where all these projects are in relation to eachother? It would be a lot of work but it would also be veryy cool!

Those buildings in the foreground are truly great! Such a green area also.

Looks like California homes, with palm trees, pools and ect ect .., Thats why it's not so cheap to live around Thong Lo and Sukhumvit.....;)

Yep, the sloping top most add some 5-10 meters to the building too..Retro-Art Deco !!!...:okay:

yea they all look similar during construction because the majority of them use reinforced concrete construction method, compared to Steel construction method preferred in North America and Europe.

Oh yeh, but most of residential construction in Chicago use concrete though.....:)

Yea.. here when there is construction (which is so rare that I've only seen it once out of 10 years of living here) you don't really see through the bulding

supposely....Steel-construction is mostly for Office Tower...:)

Major plans two projects next year

Property developer Major Development plans to invest two billion baht to develop two new high-rise projects, one along the Chao Phraya River and the other in the central business district early next year, according to president Suriyon Poolvoralaks.

The company yesterday officially launched its new 1.6-billion-baht high-rise condominium project, Watermark Chao Phraya Riverworth. On 13 rai along the Chao Phraya River off Charoen Nakorn Road, the project consists of 490 units priced at 70,000 baht per square metre. Construction, to begin by the end of this year, is expected to be completed by 2007.

"We are quite confident in developing high-end condominiums in Thon Buri as the location along the river has great potential. Furthermore, we already have two high-end condominium projects in the central business district," he said.

The first, the billion-baht Hampton on Thong Lo Soi 10, has already been sold out. The Fullerton on Sukhumvit Road, worth 1.7 billion baht, has been 70% sold. The latter project is expected to be completely sold out by 2005.

Major Development's customer base is equally divided among Thais and foreigners.

In light of this, the company is planning a roadshow in Hong Kong to attract investors in the near future.

Major Development has set aside a marketing budget of around 50 million baht for this year.

Currently, the company has 10 unused parcels in its land bank in Bangkok for developing future high-rise projects.

Meanwhile, company chairman Chumreon Poolvoralaks, Thailand's cinema tycoon, plans to convert about 100 of the theatres he owns into residential projects.

Major Development is unrelated to SET-listed Major Cineplex, the country's largest cinema operator.

Both companies, however, are connected through Poolvaraluck family ties.

Major devt condos - H1 sales strong

Major Development Co Ltd said yesterday that it had sold Bt400 million of units at its two luxury condominium projects during the first half of the year.

The projects have a value of Bt7.7 billion –Bt6 billion for Watermark Chao Phya River, and Bt1.7 billion for Fullerton Sukhumvit.

Thats because the landplot side that face the main road is small, nothing they can do about., the whole are has already built up.
