150 000 housing units a year.

The new programma for the period 2008-2012, for the five next years, is the building of 853 000 housing units. the holding will have to free an budget appropriation of almost 5 billion dollar for this.

“Cities without shantytowns”, is the improvement of housing conditions of 273 thousand households in 78 cities of the Kingdom.
Concerning the eradication of shantytowns relating to some 31578 housing units including 23165 , 6004 to restructure and 2409 to rehouse. It is expected that 28 cities are declared without shantytowns, during the current year.

For holding Al Omrane, the creation of new urban poles and cities new occupies an important place in its capable action plan to reabsorb the deficit as regards housing (more than one million additional units each year). Thus, over the period 2008-2012, several projects of new cities will be born and will be initiated by the holding. Namely the new city Lkhyayta in the periphery of Casablanca (1500 hectares), the new urban pole of Al Aroui (1400 hectares) in Nador, the new city of Melloussa (1300 hectares) in the perephery of Tangier and Tagadirte (1130 hectares), close to Agadir. The relative studies at these new zones of urbanization, right now, are finalized.

To that come to be added the two new cities which are launched right now: Tamansourt with Marrakech and Tamesna with Temara. Economic villas Nearly 40.000 units to be produced between 2008 and 2012 With at the end of 2007, holding Al Omrane carried out some 2142 units and 4542 economic villas are currently under development. Over the period 2008-2012, the operator intends to build some 39.166 economic villas. According to management, work relating to the realization of 4868 units will be launched soon and will be fine loans during the current year. Initiated by the ministry for the habitat and town planning in 2006, the national plan dedicated to the economic villas is intended for the middle-class whose income ranges between 8000 and 16000 dirhams. For the launching of the first section of this new product whose price should not exceed 700.000 dirhams, the department of supervision had mobilized some six billion for construction 9363 economic villas through the Kingdom.
