Seems to be even worse than Two Harbour Green, which I already thought was a step down from One Harbour Green. Why are the buildings getting uglier??

HG1 was beautiful... it's probably the most expensively built condo in the country, and they didn't go light on the pink marble:

HG2 had crisp clean lines, but looks bland and too much like Shaw Tower:

I'm pretty sure the finishes on HG3 will be upscale like the others, but right now the solid green part with the punched windows (why is anything other than curtain wall allowed for such a prime site in the first place?) looks like painted concrete... and the glass extensions hiding the penthouse may be less common in Vancouver but is way overused and looks tacky to pretty much the rest of the continent.

I like the art feature of HG1, had not seen HG2 finished, and did not realize that there was space left for a HG3!

I definitely agree that the HG3 design is not sleek or pleasing; esthetically very mediocre for such a prominent position on the waterfront. For the asking prices there, I would insist on better.

I really liked the look of HG2 & HG1, but yeah HG3 doesn't seem as exciting

The website is up for three harbour green.
http://www.harbourgreenplace.com

There's virtual tours of the building, and cool aerial shots of the city in the "vancouver" section, but it's best to mute the volume for the latter because the music is terrible.

Here's some screenshots:

Turns out the "green solid part" of the building is polished granite. Not exactly cheap, but don't like half the 1980/90's buildings along Georgia St use that stuff? I really like the massing of this tower and how the boxes on the north side jut out, but the way the curtain wall tops off is kinda disappointing. At least there's a strong presence of cladding other than glass, and it doesn't look at all like Shaw tower. Looks like 2 harbour green will remain the ugly middle sibling.

Very happy to see this moving forward. It sits on a very prominent position on the waterfront.

The glass cladding also looks to have a green tint. That would add nice color variety to the towers there.

Doh, it Harbour Green dummy.

Will be fun to watch this one go up.

Will they have the seawall promonade blocked off there during construction?

The promonade and the Coal Habour Park are still accessible from the west side of the Convention Centre! (where the current float plane is)

That's great. It's nice to have it usable for the conventioneers and the Olympics crowds.

^ Yup. It is a great promonade where you can spend you whole afternoon at :)

By the way, I think this project should be "U/C" not "Proposed"

^^Ask Vanman how he managed to get onto the convention centre roof to take that pic... I tried today but there was a fence.

Nonetheless I still managed a couple shots:

I know the excavation isn't done, but from the footings (which appear to be below sea-level) it looks like the bulk of the tower will be sitting right up against the southeast side of the site.

The terraces winding down from the convention centre plaza to Harbour green park.

You're not talking about that small fence on the north side are you, cause I basically just stepped over it.

^^ Well, it must be either you're 8 feet tall or the fence is only 2 feet in height. :)

They've poured the first (of what looks like 4) parking levels over part of the site. I'm surprised they need so much parking... the site is huge and there's only 88 ultra-luxury units, they better not get more than 2 spaces each!

Great shots.
That pit does look enormous for just 88 units.

I do know that each unit has it's own private garage... however I haven't seen the drawings, so couldn't tell you exactly what that means for physical size taken up.
