The New Asia College building on Kweilin Street was a post-war architecture in Sham Shui Po, build in 1949. Over 50 students and staffs cramped inside this bare schoolhouse of less than 1,800 square feet, and the three founding members, Dr. Chien Mu, Dr. Tang Chun-I and Dr. Tchang Pi-Ka also lived there.

The schoolhouse is now divided up into 6 cubicle apartments and 6 attic apartments for subletting. Ten families, twenty people share one tiny flat, just like the old college days. Those who live here now include: a single elderly who came to Hong Kong in the early days; a family of four relying on low income of $4,000; a middle-aged couple without a stable income; an unemployed Indonesian domestic helper and her 50 day-old baby girl.
