That looks like it might be an arcade through to Woodside/St Georges Tce from Hay St,not necesarily taking up the whole site.I'm stoked they didn't destroy that old building there.I had a good walk around this area......about 4 laps of the block:D

the arcade on the milligan street side might house some of the retail stores/cafes.

the roof has turned out shit! the ornamental thingy should go right until the end where the front is, it should be even, the spire is ment to go lower another 2 floors and higher about 6m according to the rendering!

went past it last ite. they are just finishing off the lobby. some tenants have moved in.
the northern woodside logo was lit up!

Looks Great.

I like the look of towers before they get all the fittings inside because you can see through them.

imo woodside looks bloody great from the north and pretty average from the south.

nah at night it looks heaps better from the south now that all the lights are on!

work on the final parts prob won't get underway till after new year. there is still abit of work to do in the retail area, public square, around the building and probably internally. the retail area opens early-mid next years so thats when the building will start getting full of office workers. they will have to move from all the other bulidings so we should see trucks arive early next year! btw. the first workers are already in the building....

I was in the city today and saw that the base is uncovered! The silver aluminium clad columns stand in front of the glass sheathed lobby, but at the very bottom the columns are clad in black stone. There are some plants in the plaza and unusual red chairs in the lobby, as well as Woodside signage. Didn't have my camera with me so I couldn't take pics. :(

Looks beautiful. That end of the Trc is really looking impressive from ground level now.

I think the terrace facade is kanda average but I love the Hay Street Facade! also the new public square/park just to the north of the tower is great, also when fully complete the site will link from st georges terrace, hay and milligan street. aprox 10 retail stores/cafes are to open fronting the park/quare and a retail arcade through the tower.
I would have prefered the lobby to be at ground level too.
all and all im very happy with the development, It sets a nice standard for development in the CBD, and its alot more than just a tower, its adding something to the city go woodside plaza :grouphug:
btw. they have got one tenant to take up 1 1/2 floors of the old Woodside HQ down adeliade terrace

the bad thing about this is that its really hard to go up .lvs 1-7 and lvs 16-24 require a keycard to get to the lifts

yeah they suck!

Apparently Woodside was designed partly to reflect the shape of an oil platform. You can see some of the cues from the exposed steel supports at the base, the block-like shape and flat top. Truth or total bollox - you decide!
