j'ai lu ou plutot vu les photos sur les 3 pages, non mais franchement
c'est un scandale ces bateaux -poubelle il peuvents les remplacer par des plus modernes ?
et puis vu les prix pratiqué pour la traversé du détroit je suis choqué.

Apparement il semblerait qu'après avoir acheter à bon prix des ferry en Grèce, on achète dorénavant les ferry de la mer Baltique.

La Comarit et Ferrimaroc ne sont-ils pas capable de mettre un coup de peinture, d'apposer leur couleurs et changer le nom des bateaux ? :ohno:

J'espère que l'intérieur est en meilleur état que l'extérieur même si je ne me fais guerre d'illusion.

Peut-être qu'à l'instar des voitures Corail rénovées par l'ONCF grâce à un transfert de technologie français, il pourrait y avoir au Maroc un chantier naval pou rénovés des bâteaux. Pour la construction à proprement dite; il est impossible de rivaliser avec japonais, chinois et coréens.

ALMACO to modernize public areas onboard Moroccan ship owner Comarit’s vessels M/S Biladi and M/S Berkane

Ship owner Comarit has awarded ALMACO two contracts for large scale modernization of public areas onboard their vessels M/S Biladi and M/S Berkane. The contracts were signed in March 2010 and the projects are scheduled for delivery by the end of June 2010. The work will be done on dry docks in the western Mediterranean.

On M/S Biladi, built in France 1980 and revitalized in 1991, ALMACO is performing a turnkey refurbishment project in public areas on decks 5 and 6 of the vessel. New areas to be added in the refit are the Moroccan Tea Room, VIP lounge and restaurant, Tax free Shop, Children’s playroom and a seating area on deck 2. The Cafeteria, Bar and public bathrooms will receive a modernized look.

M/S Berkane was built in France 1976 and revitalized in 2004. ALMACO’s contract includes conversion and refurbishment work in public areas on decks from 3 to 9. The modernization will include a new shopping street concept with Hair Salon, Tax Free Shops and Moroccan Tea Room. ALMACO will add a new Mosque and Luggage room and a Kids’ area; additionally the cinema will be converted into a new Bar/Night Club. Areas to be modernized are the Reception area, Cafeteria, Restaurant and Bar, corridors, lobbies, staircases and public restrooms.

For both vessels, ALMACO’s scope of supply includes engineering and design, project management, demolition and scrapping, supply and shipping of materials including loose furniture, all interior work, supply and installation of catering equipment for bars, modification of the ships systems where necessary, as well as commissioning.

In July 2010 the newly refitted ships, featuring a modern Moroccan atmosphere with functional refurbished and converted public areas for added travel comfort and convenience will start operating in the Mediterranean between Tangier (Morocco) and Genoa (Italy) and Tangier and Sète (France).

I don't think, because Grandi Navi Veloci is perfect for 1000-1500km travels. It's a combinaision between fast ferry for speed and classical ferry for capacity.

Grimaldi companies have also GNV, they are great.

We can read that :

Un navire de même taille a été acquis par IMTC et sera opérationnel début 2008. Le car-ferry est destiné à assurer la liaison entre Agadir et le sud de la France. La compagnie maritime va en prendre livraison en octobre prochain.

Can you imagine an Airbus A380 for a line like Paris-Agadir ? No, it's impossible. Ferrys like planes have their one specifications. GNV it's to big for Tanger-Algericas but for Sete/Genoa/Barcelona-Tanger/Casa/Agadir it's perfect !

It seems to be a ro-ro ship for trucks, maybe only for summer.

Others Comarit boats will be reserve for cars this summer.

Don't be afraid, it's for trucks(RO-RO), it was used between Algeciras-Tanger Med in 2009-2010, they have an alternative ship, so they don't need the Baltic Eager anymore.

Dos nuevos buques se incorporan a la línea Algeciras-Tánger Med
Los buques ro-ro Al Hurreya II y Baltic Eager, de las navieras IMTC y Comarit, sustituirán a los transbordadores que habitualmente realizan el trayecto entre Algeciras y Tánger-Med. Esta sustitución se ha acordado en el encuentro de trabajo entre los máximos responsables de la Autoridad Portuaria de la Bahía de Algeciras y la Agencia Especial Tánger Mediterráneo (TMSA).

Los máximos responsables de ambas autoridades portuarias celebraron un nuevo encuentro de trabajo para continuar desarrollando el acuerdo de colaboración que ambos mantienen desde 2005 y con el objetivo de prestar el mejor servicio a clientes y usuarios conjuntos, garantizando la agilidad, eficacia y seguridad de las operaciones e intercambios de mercancías entre ambas orillas del Estrecho .

En este ocasión los talleres de trabajo se desarrollaron en el puerto marroquí -se alterna una vez en cada ciudad-. Las delegaciones estuvieron encabezadas por el Presidente de la Agencia Tánger Mediterráneo (TMSA), Said El Hadi, y el Director General Adjunto Encargado de la Dirección del puerto, El Mostapha Almouzani; mientras que la de Algeciras ha estado encabezada por el Presidente de la APBA, Manuel Morón, y el Director General, José Luis Hormaechea. En la cita participaron también los responsables de ambos puertos en las diferentes materias abordadas: tráfico ro-ro, protección y seguridad portuaria, o desarrollos logísticos, entre otros.

Destacó también el análisis que durante el encuentro se realizó sobre la evolución y las novedades del servicio ro-ro diario entre los puertos de Algeciras y Tánger Med, enlace marítimo que opera desde el pasado noviembre. Entre esas novedades están la incorporación de estos dos nuevos buques que sustituyen a los ferrys que habitualmente realizan el trayecto y que operarán durante el verano entre Algeciras y Tánger Med, siendo una alternativa "fiable" para garantizar que el tráfico ro-ro no sufra demoras con motivo de la Operación Paso del Estrecho (OPE).

En el puerto Bahía de Algeciras el embarque de camiones en esta línea se produce en el Muelle Príncipe Felipe, por lo que se pretende mejorar la agilidad de los mismos y desahogando a su vez el dispositivo OPE. Sólo en los 5 primeros meses del presente año, la línea que une ambos puertos del Estrecho ha transportado casi 13.000 camiones.

HSC Tanger Jet II was built in 2004 at the Austal Ships in Perth, Australia.

HSC "Tanger Jet II" was delivered by Austal in 2004 and operated as Spirit of Ontario I for the operator Canadian American Transportation Systems (CATS) on a route between Rochester, New York and Toronto, Ontario. The catamaran has an overall length of 86.60 meters and a beam of 23.80 m.

Her gross tonnage amounts 6,242 GT. The machinery consists of four MTU engines with a total output of 4 x 8,200 kW (44,595 HP) allowing a maximum service speed of 45 knots (83 km/h).

900 passengers and 238 car-equivalents (or a maximum of 10 trucks and 150 cars) can be accommodated onboard. In 2007 FRS acquired the vessel for its Spain-Morocco service.
