Since im the offical (non offical) SSC recruiter of SSC I have to make sure SSC'S growth stay's up so don't be suprised when you see a new thread come up on developing area's. Wilson is booming, and I know the East Carolina Thread is for these area's too but only these area's should be talked about in this thread.

Greenville, NC is gaining more stores: The Framing Station, Great Clips, EC Star Nails Spa & Tanning, Baskin-Robbins and Asian Bistro, Jersey Mike's, Realo Discount Drugs and Carolina Home Medical, Sports Clips, Hibachi Express, Subway, and Bruegger's Bagels. Good my other Greenville. Im hearing that Target is moving to Memorial Drive in Winterville in a new development which is good and bad but I think it's a lie because those space's are to small for a Target.
here is the site-plan it maybe old now

Good idea for a R-M-Wilson-Greenville thread. Why are you posting all that other stuff in the eastern NC thread?

That shopping center is not under construction yet. BB&T is the only thing there.

Oh okay tarheelcub's that's the only thing underconstruction over there. Wilson is planning a 6-10 level hotel in Downtown. No rendering's though but it will have 7,000 sq ft of ground retail. I hope it goes through.

It's about time for Wilson to get a new Amtrack station, there's is preety busy according to wiki seeing close to 40,000 passenger's a year, which is more than Greenville, SC which see's over 10,000 passenger's a year. They should make a new 3 level station with the first level containing retail, and the train station, then 2nd and 3rd level's should contain a hotel.

It will be a new building said to be somewhere on Nash st. Im trying to tell you Downtown Wilson is about to have a major hotel, residental, retail, and office boom. Greenville can let it happen to but we like suburban spawl to much and so much that suburban building's are in our downtown. Wilson is just getting prepared for it's first downtown boom, since West Wilson already boomed. There is a grocery store planned (that will be 15,000 sq ft), 20,000 sq ft of retail is planned, A 3 level office building is planned, and currently a low of 30 residental unit's are planned in Downtown Wilson, that's why im saying watch Downtown Wilson.

I have not heard of any hotel proposed in downtown wilson. I would like to know where you are getting this information from. I am sure I would have heard something. Also, that is not the shopping center target might move to. They were going to build a SuperTarget where Kohls and Fresh Market are, but plans have been delayed. The shopping center you showed will most likely be anchored by Farm Fresh.

WTF, my freind who work's at target told me they are moving to somewhere around PCC, so I was guessing this is it. Your right about the Farm Fresh part, and the hotel information is confidental so I cant talk about it.

Infoman

You most got the wrong greenville. We have never seen a 20 level tower proposed, and we are so small that everything that gets proposed goes underconstruction so there is never a worry of a dead project.

David Hill , who has four retail developments in Greenville including Pirates Pointe, has tapped into the growing Wilson market with a 14,000-square-foot strip center anchored by Factory Mattress & Bedroom. The center, located in front of Lowe's, also will include Carolina Quick Care, Dippin' Dots and Ruby's Hibachi. Hill has had a Factory Mattress & Bedroom store in Wilson since 1995. “I was renting, and I found a piece of land in front of Lowes,” he said. “It's a great location. ... (Wilson) is really taking off. It's turned out to be a nice bedroom community for Raleigh.”
