astroboy1234 May 22nd, 2008, 11:39 AM Tama nga! Parang ginawang Binondo na lang ang Zamboanga. Samantala, mga lunsod na katulad ng GenSan, Butuan, tsaka mas malala (for Zamboanguenos) Pagadian di lang aasenso uunlad talaga pati quality of products doon talaga ku-contribute sa economy ng mga lungsod doon... as in sing-unlad ng Makati, Cebu...
To Mayor Lobregat, this is our question regarding the development of our beloved city:
Whom do you follow?:
The Filipino-Chinese businessmen who want to block *SM, Gaisano, Robinsons, or any other major mall developer from entry to Zamboanga for investments in which you said that there are many economic potentials here?
*Or the people who are tired of waiting for a major mall?
Shoppers' Center? Parang bitin ata to, ah! I can't explain eh.
On the other hand, GenSan is in fact nagmamadali daw sa pagbubuild yung SM and Robinsons. Parang Makro ata.
Other provinces were able to establish this big malls and penetrate their city and welcome this malls with eagerness. In business, competition is the name of the game but it seems businessmen in Zamboanga don't want competition they are selfish and wants revenue kept for themselves. If they fear to lose then they should improve their products rather selling fake ones and complain they will lose their business. Nagawa nga ng ibang provinces na i welcome ang major malls na ito eh alam naman din natin na kaya din ng Zamboanga i welcome ito!! Don't monopolize Zamboanga and keep it for your own and allow our city to grow and others invest in it. Wake up mayor!!! ^^ ^^

Tama ka nga astro. Pero nagmamatigas talaga ang mga chinese sa zambo... Mayor, kung ganon ang character nila sa Zamboanga... you should have changed the name into The Binondo of the South rather than Asia's Latin City!

at her staatus alone is really far from z.c., take note. p.c. is only a Dependent City of the Prov.of Zdesur... and a 2ndclass city... 3yrs. ago pagadian became a 1st class city but then they cannot maintain the minimum income per annum as a 1st class city so, they went down to 2nd class city. i gues,, what pagadian dnt hav are the ff:
- a well-class golf cousre, cud be the oldest or one of the oldest golf course in the phils.
- internaciional airport
- internacional seaport
- universities
- beaches
- ZamboEcozone
- Sardine's Capital
- one of the mango export of the phils.
- state colleges
- well-classed hospitals and clinic
- and etc...
- z.c. is really big in land area so there's so much to put/built/establish in the city.
a great city doesnt always matter on how many malls they have but rather the quality of living.
i bet, there's no place for me where i cn found the sabroso y limpio water...only in zambo. although our reservoir isnt already enough for the city.

tapos palitan sila ng new malls. tsaka ung mga nagbebenta ng fake products bawasan na yan.... at least 20% will remain, medyo malaki rin naman kasi contributions nila sa government...
wag naman cguro..that's too harsh..given that we are a democratic country and we are following the "laizzes faire" doctrine..
if i am the Shopper's owner i will create a move that will make the entire inhabitamts of Zamboanga happy..
since the Shoppers chaim of stores are so proximate, why not upgrade it into a mall..they must upgrade their facilities and connect these stores using overpasses or any other means..at least they will look like a very huge mall with all its component integrated on it..
zoroethgenre_003 May 22nd, 2008, 02:16 PM yes indeed! it can be done... but if incase i rather chose to name it this way... City State of latin zamboanga or Latin Zamboanga State City
that could not be..that is very immaterial..a state and a city?
state has its component..land, people, government and soverienty..
Zamboanga can only suffice three..and it would not qualify to become a state..
zoroethgenre_003 May 22nd, 2008, 02:20 PM ok i will....:)
anong mall na naman yan?
Shoppers Mall..ung 10-storey mall
qwert_guy May 22nd, 2008, 02:25 PM theres nothing to compare between zambo ang pagadian. each city is unique. and zambo is far way ahead in terms of population, area and economy. pagadian is not competing with zambo. in fact zamboanga is pagadians inspiration to vigorously continue developing as what have started. pls lets stop competing each other. nasa iisang peninsula lang tayo. zamboanga is a very beautiful city.. i have lots of friends there and i love zamboanga city. :)

hakhaimo May 22nd, 2008, 02:48 PM i dont think so... coz for the tausug, that fruit has other term for that... but that's how really its orthography and phonetics and pronunciation... if you happen to stay in upper bunguiao, vitali, marloquet, sibualo and other barrios in the mts. though we're alredi in tetuan but thats the term we're using except for my 2-brothers...jejejeje they tand to pronunce it as "duli-an"
In Tausug, we commonly call Durian as Duyan.

hakhaimo May 22nd, 2008, 02:53 PM BLOOMINGDALES..
i guess so..if sa US lang available ang orig stores nila..definitely sa US lang patented and name na BLOOMINGDALES..
so anyone in PInas can have that name without violating the INtellectual Property Code..kasi sila ang nauna na nagkaroon ng name na yan sa Pinas..so from the Philippines' law perspective..Bloomingdales - Zamboanga is the original holder of the name in the country except if may nakauna pa..
Yung pumunta ako sa Manila, particularly Rominsons Ermita that was 3 years ago. May Bloomingdales the same logo/sign at Bloomingdales Mindpro. Baka Philippine Version...

hakhaimo May 22nd, 2008, 03:14 PM A NEW mall opens in Zamboanga City.
Shopper's Center -- The Gateway, opens it doors to the public Wednesday here at Gov. Lim Avenue.
The opening was graced by city officials led by Mayor Celso L. Lobregat.
Archbishop of Zamboanga Romulo G. Valles officiated the blessing and soft opening of the five-storey building, where representatives from different sectors were also invited to have a glimpse of the newest mall of Zamboanga City.
Store manager Karen Lu I. Umacob said it took them almost three years to construct the building.
The building is composed of five floors. The ground floor is occupied by the supermarket, which has walkalators, the first in Zamboanga City. Fast-food chains, stalls, shops, and other type of stores are located in the 2nd floor. Also found there is the Men's section.
On the third floor sits the Women's section. The fourth floor is not yet open for business. Umacob said it is reserved for the Children's and Home Sections, along with other related products.
Umacob said the grad opening is set next week.:)
I saw Shopper's Center kanina, maganda yung itsura niya. I took a picture but it was blurry, the vehicle was moving. Sabi ko sa tatay ko pause muna for a while sa harap yung car para picture pero ayaw niya. jejeje
hakhaimo May 22nd, 2008, 03:16 PM diba, shopper's central is going to close sometime next year?
anu plan nila sa lot? new mall? or hotel? cnu may alam? share your knowledge naman. haha!
and what's WALKATORS? haha., no idea.. senxa na. haha
Walkalators.

Why not icombine yung resources nila. Then compete with Gaisano, SM and/or Robinsons...
hakhaimo May 22nd, 2008, 03:20 PM Yap those stores sell fake products without any guarantee nor warranty at all especially electronics. Dapat we should not patronize this fake products kasi tayo pa rin ang talo at sayang ang pera!

We can't avoid fake products, some SM Department stores even sell fake products. (Correct me if I am wrong, or I think it is only fake.)

Baka 1-2 years from now. Gaisano or other Mall Brand will announce its location. And the size of its establishment maybe the biggest in Zamboanga Peninsula since the Population of Zamboanga is big.
We have to wait, maybe they are still studying feasible locations that is strategically located. They might be conducting a feasibility study, as to location, size of the Mall or other aspects.
hakhaimo May 22nd, 2008, 03:27 PM ^^wag naman, let them stay, lets also look on the brighter side, remember when all were afraid to invest in zambo the shopper's remained on zambo soil inspite of the fact of the bad publicity zambo has been getting. cguro all they have to do is allow outside mall developers to come in for a healthy competition. but let them stay. :)
And they also contributed in Making Zamboanga a billionaire city without Dependence on Large Nationally known Malls.

Hotel Recommendations
By Bob on Feb 17, 2007 in Travel
Anytime that you are traveling to unfamiliar territory, choosing where you are going to stay is always a tough decision. On my recent trip to Zamboanga, Tawi Tawi and Basilan, I was lucky as I had help! While traveling with Maej, she was on a work assignment, and she had also visited these places numerous times. Because of this, she knew where to stay, and her employer also had a list of hotels that they regularly used in these places. So, I left the choice up to her, and just followed suit.
In Zamboanga, we stayed at the Garden Orchid Hotel. The Garden Orchid is located on Gevernor Camins Avenue, very close to the Airport. The hotel is very nice, along the same lines as the Marco Polo Hotel in Davao City. Marco Polo is a 5 star Hotel, and having stayed in both, I feel they are on par with each other. I got a bit of a discounted rate, but I would expect to pay around $50 per night or so. I consider that pretty inexpensive, given the quality of the place.
The Garden Orchid has a beautiful lobby, which is fully equiped wiht WiFi in case you have a laptop or other WiFi enabled device like a cellphone, PDA, etc. I used the WiFi regularly while staying there and it is fast and reliable. Also, the staff at the lobby restaurant is quite pleasant, even if you just want to sit in the restaurant to use the WiFi. This is not always the case in other places. As I mentioned, there is a restaurant in the lobby with good food, and it’s also quite inexpensive as well. All in all, I would give the Garden Orchid Hotel in Zamboanga City a high rating! If you are ever wanting to stay there, you can contact them by:

hakhaimo May 22nd, 2008, 06:10 PM Zambo City residents urged to help lessen impact of global warming »
May 22, 2008 | By glenrose | 0 Comments
Zamboanga City (May 19) — Mayor Celso Lobregat has challenged local residents to koin the worldwide movement to reduce impact of global warming, which has become the world’s greatest threat at present.
Lobregat said the calamities that affected other countries like Myanmar and China last week including the two incidences of storm surge that Zamboanga City experienced last year are all effects of climate change which is caused by global warming.
He said, local residents, as individuals, as a community and as a city should actively participate in the movement to lessen the impact of global warming, which refers to to the increase in the temperature of the earth’s surface.
Increasing global temperature causes rise in sea level increasing intensity of weather events and change the amount and pattern of precipitation.
Other effects according to studies are changes in agricultural yield, glacier retreats, species extinction and increases in the range of disease vectors.
Lobregat said, the city government is spearheading the conduct of a summit in disaster preparedness for global warming and food security on May 27 to make the public aware of the causes and effects of global warming and how to reduce or lessen its impact.
The summit, set to be held at the city Coliseum in Tetuan, will be participated in by representatives from the different sectors of the city and will have national officials from concerned agencies like DOST, DA, DepEd, DND among others as speakers.
“We encourage full participation of all sectors concerned because everybody is feeling the effects of global warming now”, the mayor said. “We should do our share to mitigate it’s impact”
Among the contributors of to global warming is carbon dioxide which is emitted in engine fumes from vehicles and factories, reliance on electricity supplied by coal-fired power plants and several others.
Last March 29, it is recalled the city government also spearheaded the Earth Hour, a 60 minute blackout, in support of the global campaign to lessen the impact of global warming. (CHO/PIA ZC)

LANAO DEL NORTE — General Santos City lorded it over in artistic gymnastics while Zamboanga showed the way in athletics yesterday in the Mindanao qualifying games of the 3rd Philippine Olympic Festival at the Mindanao Civic Center here.
Emelou Pono and Precious Valerie Pama snared four golds each in girls’ artistic gymnastics after five other male gymnasts from the country’s Tuna Capital ruled their respective events in the boys’ side that allowed GenSan to capture 29 of the 36 medals at stake in the discipline.
Pono, 15, dominated the floor exercise, vault, balance beam and all-around events of category 2 level 3 while Pama reigned supreme in category 1 level 3 by sweeping the gold medals in the same events.
Ivan Oracion (cat. 1, level 1), Ivan Rey Bagaboyboy (cat 1, level 3), Reach Mark Pama (cat 2, level 2), Diego Aristotle Biñan (cat 2, level 3) and Miolito Romualdo (cat 2, level 1) seized the golds in the floor exercise, vault and all-around events of their respective categories in boys’ artistic gymnastics.
Lanao Del Norte managed to break GenSan’s winning rhythm through the efforts of Lournelyn Cadile, who won the floor exercise, vault, balance beam and all-around events that installed the host province as team champion in the girls’ category 2 level 2.
GenSan’s exploits in gymnastics somehow overshadowed Zamboanga’s fine start in track and field when the defending Mindanao qualifying champion secured half of the 12 golds disputed on the first day of athletics competitions.
Sprinters Rexlester Binosa and Rucellen Vales sparked Zamboanga’s medal haul of six golds on the track after winning the boys’ and girls’ 100-meter dash in the event supported by Globe, ACCEL, Pagcor, AMA Computer College, Negros Navigation, The Philippine Star and Creativity Lounge.
Binosa clocked 10.94 seconds in the boys’ century dash to defeat GenSan’s Domingo Cabradilla (11.16 seconds) and provincemate Ryan Salles (11.18) while Vales, last year’s gold medalist in the same event, took the gold in 12.42 seconds.
Alfrena Jade Diasana of GenSan settled for silver in 13.16 seconds before Zamboanga’s Rubelyn Alvador checked in at 13.46 seconds.
Alvador atoned for her 100m setback by picking up the gold in the girls’ 800m run in two minutes and 32.64 seconds. Jenelyn Surdilla of Tangub City finished second in 2:34.02 while GenSan’s Christine Manatad copped the bronze in 2:36.17.
John Rey Bayhon made it a double for the Zamboangeños in the 800m after securing the gold in two minutes and 6.76 seconds. Cagayan De Oro’s Rowel Banguion (2:07.32) and John Paul Gongob (2:07.69) finished second fiddle to Bayhon.
Cathy Badonio grabbed the gold in the girls’ discus throw with a heave of 19.18 meters while Palarong Pambansa and POF veteran Radjeev Tahil capped Zamboanga’s supremacy by ruling the boys’ triple jump (13.89 meters).
Tangub City clinched three golds courtesy of Surdilla in the girls’ 3000m run (11:36.63), Edward Paul Paler in the boys’ shot put (13.48 meters) and Regine Ganiolon in the girls’ long jump (4.74 meters.)
Other gold-medal winners in athletics were Koronadal City’s Renalyn Pabelo (girls’ 100m hurdles), Misamis Oriental’s Albert Yasay (boys’ 110m hurdles) and Bukidnon’s Vincent Neri, who earned the distinction of snaring the first gold of the week-long games.
The 17-year-old Neri took a leave from his job and ruled the boys’ 5000m run in 17 minutes, 10.41 seconds. Neri, who only had a few days of practice, defeated Zamboanga’s Glenn Arellano (17:11.78) and Agusan Del Sur’s Eduardo Padial (17:13.56).
In basketball, Cagayan De Oro dumped Misamis Oriental, 89-44, while host Lanao Del Norte pulled off a 66-57 whipping of Davao Del Norte.
Iligan City posted two straight victories in girls’ volleyball after downing Misamis Oriental, 25-20, 25-18 and Lanao Del Norte, 25-16, 25-17.
Davao Del Norte made up for its loss in basketball by squeezing past Misamis Oriental, 25-21, 25-23 in men’s volleyball. TawiTawi also registered a 21-25, 25-16, 25-16 victory over Bukidnon in the other game.

since the Shoppers chaim of stores are so proximate, why not upgrade it into a mall..they must upgrade their facilities and connect these stores using overpasses or any other means..at least they will look like a very huge mall with all its component integrated on it..

I love the scenery especially if you happen to capture the colorful sunset in there.Nawawala ang problema mo when looking the views of the sea and silhouette. Garden Orchid is a great hotel as well and so is Astoria Hotel, Hotel Perlita and the one in downtown na mataas(sorry I forget the name).Yung topview ng Hotel Perlita maganda and the one in downtown besides Shop O Rama. They have a good resto sa tip and the views of Zamboanga is great! These hotels are not branded but they are the best the city has to offer and I'm proud of it kasi this are Zamboanga Originals!! :) :) :)

hakhaimo May 23rd, 2008, 10:26 AM ;20998079']but then, 245 rooms against an 85 room hotel? besides mas maraming facilities ang marco polo..and now na nadagdag ang "the deck" then mas gumanda pa sya
ganito na lang
Marco Polo is the only deluxe hotel in the island (although my friend from grand regal claims na deluxe din daw sila) :) i think thats more than enough proof
I think when Bob Martin said at par maybe he ment the service itself, pati yung quality ng place. Obviously Mas ahead pa ang Marco Polo no doubt. Talagang friendly lang talaga yung staff sa GOH Three star or Four star hotel na, mura pa, may discount pa.
hakhaimo May 23rd, 2008, 10:28 AM i dont think so GARDEN ORCHIDS is the best hotel in Zamboanga... lolx:lol:
The best hotel in Zamboanga is Lantaka. Its a 3.5 star hotel. While garden orchids is just 2 star.
In terms of facilities mas mataas ang GOH kaysa lantaka. GOH is classier and luxurious than Lantaka.
astroboy1234 May 23rd, 2008, 10:48 AM ;20955578']
now compare that with marco polos facilities

obviously mr martin didnt know what he was talking about :) or maybe he was just being nice :)
He knows what he was talking about actually and that is his own personal opinion and not all may agree. Siguro kaya niya nasabi yun is because maganda ang service ng hotel at magaganda ang Zamboagueños/Zamboangueñas nag accomodate sa kanya at kung maganda ang service they will also say nice things about the place where they stay nageneralize na lang!!

sabagay, sa experience lang siguro nya :) or, like i said earlier, he was just being nice :) besides , ive read the article and one line lang naman yun :) it wasnt a comprehensive review that put GOH and MP at par with each other :)
oh and AFAIK, MP lang ang 4 star hotel sa mindanao :) Grand Regal, Apo View ,Royal Mandaya and even WaterFront Insular are 3 star hotels lang
basing on the pics, i would put GOH at par with ApoView Hotel siguro
anyway, magkano po ang rates sa GOH?
He knows what he was talking about actually and that is his own personal opinion and not all may agree
well pwede kong sabihin at par ang Lantaka sa Shangrila mactan and, if we base sa argument na "its his opinion" then sinong papalag diba? but if we base it on facts, then thats another story :) same goes with Mr. Bob martin's blog :)

Acer_Cyle May 23rd, 2008, 11:08 AM that could not be..that is very immaterial..a state and a city?
state has its component..land, people, government and soverienty..
Zamboanga can only suffice three..and it would not qualify to become a state..
Macau and Hongkong are a CITY STATE.. idependent and having their own soverienty, land, people and government...
STATE CITY is diferrent from CITY STATE... see federal-republic type of government.
GearX May 23rd, 2008, 11:25 AM i didn't know yoda could dance....
Acer_Cyle May 23rd, 2008, 11:32 AM Yeahh I agree why Isolate each other when Pagadian and Zamboanga as well as other cities in ZamPen help promote Zamboanga Peninsula.
thats actually correct!
eversince, zamboanga City, is really an isolated Independent City in the entire ZamPen...
if you based to tradition, culture, history and language... Z.C. doesnt really interact with these 3-provinces of ZamPen... and its really obvious among the real and blue-blooded Zamboanguenos (who are really from z.c. and never got outside the city) because of the costumbre that these zamboanguenos has, the "orgulloso costumbre which were inherited from our spansih ancestor" although the z.c. is still part in promoting zampen but then, she will never interact eith these lugares... no offend but thats the truth...
The Lantaka hotel is the number one choice ng mga tourists. Mas maraming turista sa Lantaka ang nag i-stay...
Chrisvenz May 23rd, 2008, 12:04 PM In terms of facilities mas mataas ang GOH kaysa lantaka. GOH is classier and luxurious than Lantaka.
Modern na kasi sa GOH, not like Lantaka vintage yet luxurious. In terms of facilities lang naman sila mataas. Pero the service that they got there is not that good like lantaka.

PBA mania hits Zambo
The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) fever hits Zamboanga City anew as Barangay Ginebra Kings and Air 21 Express arrived yesterday morning to prepare for their highly anticipated match-up at the City Coliseum this afternoon.
Mayor Celso Lobregat, warmly welcoming the two teams during separate courtesy calls, expressed pleasure that the city was once again chosen to host one of the league’s out-of-town games for the Fiesta Conference this year.
The Kings was led by team manager Samboy Lim, coach Jong Uichico, assistant coach Allan Caidic with import Chris Alexander, local cagers Mark Caguioa, Jayjay Helterbrand, Paul Artadi, Ronald Tubid, Erik Menk, Alex Crisano, Billy Mamaril, Junty Valenzuela, Victor Pablo, Willie Wilson, and Macky Escalona.
Meanwhile, the Express delegation was composed of coach Bo Perasol, assistant coach Leo Isaac, import Steven Thomas, local players Niño Cañaleta, Arwind Santos, Ranidel de Ocampo, Doug Kramer, Gary David, Gabby Espinas, Marvin Cruz, Wynne Arboleda, Homer Se, Erwin Sotto and Egay Billones.
The Zamboangueños are expected to flock the City Coliseum at 4 o’clock today to watch the Kings-Express showdown.
The last time that the city hosted the league’s games was two years ago. Today’s game is sponsored by Lobregat, and Representatives Ma. Isabelle Climaco and Erico Basilio Fabian, among others. — Claudine Uniana/City Hall PIO

Drivers of passenger jeepneys now enjoy a P0.50 fare hike as authorized by the LTFRB while the tricycle drivers have yet to wait for the City Council to decide on their fare rate. (Sunnex/Bong Garcia)
THE Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has granted a provisional P0.50 fare hike to the land transport group in Zamboanga City.
This came about after the LTFRB regional office received on Wednesday a consolidated order from LTFRB central office granting the fare hike of P0.50.
LTFRB Regional Director Benito Dy-Cesar said there is no more need for the operators and drivers to apply for a new fare matrix from his office as stated in the consolidated order.
All they have to do is to place a notice beside the old fare matrix and visible to the riding public stating a P0.50 fare hike is in effect, according to Dy-Cesar.
With this development, the minimum fare for Public Utility Jeepneys (PUJs) for the first four kilometers is P7 per passenger.
For buses, a P0.10 to P0.25 fare hike was granted by the LTFRB for non-air-conditioned and air-conditioned units.
Federation of Land Transportation Association of Zamboanga (Feltranz) President Eduardo Mingala was happy about the grant of provisional fare hike.
However, Mingala said they would push through with their original request of P1.50 fare hike, citing the high cost of maintenance in the transport industry.
If Feltranz' request will be granted, the minimum fare rate for the first four kilometer distance is P8 per passenger.
Meanwhile, the City Council remains silent about the fare rate for tricycles.
The present tricycle regulated fare rate is P8 per passenger for the first four kilometers and an additional of P2 for succeeding kilometers regardless of the number of passengers.
However, some people say there is no need for a fare hike for tricycles since the drivers are not complying with the regulated fare rate.
The public has observed that the drivers in this city are using the so-called "mouth meter" in charging fare depending on the number of passengers and travel distance.
Most if not all of the tricycle drivers charge P30 for a passenger they fetch within the four-kilometer distance.
Tricycle drivers picking up passengers coming from the airport charge as high as P100 or more per trip, while a minimum of P50 per trip coming from the wharf even travel distance is less than four kilometers.

PDEA nabs 4 in a pot session
OPERATIVES of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) have arrested in a raid Wednesday evening four alleged drug users.
The four were caught having pot session in the village of Baliwasan, west of Zamboanga City.
The PDEA reported that the raid was carried out following surveillance operations for several days on the suspects' activity.
No names were immediately released but it was learned that some of the arrested suspects belong to known families in this city.
The raiding team confiscated from the suspects' possession prohibited drug paraphernalia and two plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, the PDEA reported.
They were subjected to inquest proceedings Friday before the City Prosecutor's Office and committed to the Zamboanga City Reformatory Center for detention waiting trial of the case filed against them.
The suspects were charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and no bail was recommended for their temporary liberty, the PDEA said. (Bong P. Garcia)

Cops seize 36 pieces bogus P1,000 bill
THE Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), has warned the public against the circulation of P1,000 fake bill in Zamboanga City.
Senior Superintendent Lurimer Detran, officer-in-charge of the Zamboanga City Police Office issued the warning after policemen arrested Friday two people who have with them 36 pieces of P,1000 fake bills.
Detran said the arrest was made in the village of Sangali, one of the trading centers in this city's east coast area, after a businessman reported to the police after getting hold of bogus P1,000 bills.
Arrested were Dannyboy Epie, 28 and Arnel Marinez, 21, both natives of Zamboanga Sibugay province.
The Police Station 3 reported that the suspects were arrested after they purchased cigarettes from the businessman who noted that the serial number of the P1,000 are identical.
Detran said the public, especially cashiers and businessmen, should scrutinize carefully the paper bills of big amount while transacting business with customers.
The suspects were detained and placed under investigation to determine the source of the bogus bills while appropriate charges are filed against them, Detran said. (Lordhan C. Cruz/BPG)

They should put more constraints on tricycles. Like (1) Limit their area of operations (2) Limit their number.
Parang iniiwasan ng City Council when it comes to Tricycles... hmmm... intriguing....
And the government should invite more Taxi Companies, because the fare that the Tricycles charge to their passengers ay pwede nang pang taxi.
At padamihin din yung City Buses.
BTW, meron pabang City Bus parang wala na akong nakikita...

Yeah... Zamboanga has already the infrastructure but it needs improvements. Just like the Zamboanga International Airport it is wide and big but it needs Gantry Cranes to increase its efficiency when it comes to cargo handling.
In Mindanao only Davao City and Cagayan de Oro City whose Seaports are with Gantry Cranes. For Zamboanga, I think it might be located at Zamboanga Ecozone.
