In commemoration of the 111th Anniversary of Philippine Independence, the Department of Labor and Employment-IX (DOLE-IX) invites all Zamboangueños to participate in the flag raising ceremony and wreath laying to be held at the Jose P. Rizal Monument near City Hall on Friday, June 12 at 9:00 a.m.


The DOLE also urges jobseekers to apply during the “Job, Livelihood and Diskwento Fairs” on Friday to be held at the Summit Center in Tetuan from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and to join in the Career Advancement and Entrepreneurial Counseling also to be held at the said Summit Center.
Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita, Comprehensive Livelihood Emergency Employment Program (CLEEP) Steward for Region IX, will be the guest of honor during the Job Fairs.
Other highlights that will happen on June 12 include the awarding of employment contracts to 2,447 workers, awarding of training/scholarship grants to 607 trainees, and awarding of livelihood checks to 1,462 individuals and associations.
DOLE-IX Regional Director Ponciano M. Ligutom, in a press conference, told local reporters that the theme for this year’s Independence Day (Kalayaan 2009) is: “Kagitingan, Kagalingan at Kasipagan: Tungo sa Tunay na Kalayaan” which focuses on giving jobs.
“The true essence of independence is not only on political aspect or we have our own government but it has to include economic social independence,” said Ligutom. “We can only attend independence if we rely on our kagitingan (valor), kagalingan (well being) and kasipagan (diligence).”
He added: “We should also rely on our people. And since this is kasipagan (diligence), kagalingan (well being), we are talking of the global competitiveness of our Filipino work force and of the Filipino people.”
The DOLE-IX regional director bared that at least 930 job vacancies from the different local employers in the region are offered for the interested local applicants and 13,121 vacancies from 15 overseas recruitment agencies are also available for overseas workers.
Jobs needed for local employment, according to Ligutom, include production crew, IT Programmer, Call Center agents, chemist and medical technologies, marketing officer, office management (clerk, cashier, book keeper, secretariat).
He said for overseas employment, all job orders are from categories of the following: skilled workers; medical courses; household service workers, hotel and restaurant service crew; office management; IT analyst, programmer, autocad, 3D animation and visualizer; business management and accountancy; engineering, technician and fabricator.
The DOLE spearheads the annual celebration of the Independence Day nationwide highlighting government’s efforts to provide job opportunities to Filipinos in the face of a worldwide economic meltdown.
Job generation is also one of the priority thrusts of the Arroyo Administration where the President herself even in the early part of her term in office has promised to provide 10 million until her term ends. Hi There! I was able to go there once. That time the singer was belting acoustic love songs. Napakaganda ng boses...very soothing to the ears...parang MYMP na ibang klase naman. Sa taas may disco but I didn't see the place sa taas.

ahh okie nice ahh...so malaking investors ba mag invest dito sa new hospital na toh?nice kc it will cater the people of east coast as well as the people from province of Zambo Sibugay Zambo del Sur and Zambo del Norte:banana:
