This is a fat motherfucker Yeah, you should send in the petition before it's too late :) SMCD September 26th, 2011, 02:52 PM Nice to see some new drawings on this project (at least I haven’t seen them before), and I think they look pretty good. Off course I think it would be better if it was taller, slimmer and maybe with more setbacks, but it will be such a huge improvement that I don’t really see the point in being too negative. I think the complex as presented in these drawings will fit excellently in its surroundings – both in relation to the style of barcode and Posthuset & Plaza. I really appreciate the variety in the façade and I also like the street features – looks like it will bring a lot to the pedestrian environment of schweigaards gate. Does anybody know the progress of the approvement process at the moment? What is the next milestone coming up? According to the architects website the project is expected completed in 2015. Is this realistic? IceCheese September 26th, 2011, 08:24 PM Nice to see some new drawings on this project (at least I haven’t seen them before), and I think they look pretty good. Things are moving slowly. Ingenioren September 27th, 2011, 10:55 AM According to the architects website the project is expected completed in 2015. Is this realistic? Not even the slightest. Even if it would be sent to Development comittee feb 2013, there is still a few obstacles before construction. I'm imagining several rounds in both the comitee and City council aswell as veto from RA+Jbv and complaints to Fylkesmannen. There is also archeological digging required. We are lucky if we see this completed in 2018. If they could build the ESB in 15 months in the 30's, we should be able to make 1/3 of that in 2 years today, don't you think? 5 workers died building the Esb, i would think we can allow ourself a little more careful construction process. UrbanLife September 27th, 2011, 12:51 PM At least in Oslo they will fill it, something they spent years doing in NYC;) I can´t read the document, the text seems to be censored! Ing: Would be nice to see this done before 2018, but I guess you have your facts right as usual;) Ingenioren September 27th, 2011, 01:33 PM Those aren't facts - but a more reasonable guess, Nordea has a contract for moving in during january 2016 - so Klp are aubviously very optimistic about this. You would think they were professional enough to make realistic contracts tough. Guess the bank will be stuck in Middelthunsgate a few more years - and there will be plenty of time for that project to run trough the bureaucracy: http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o309/IceCheese/Nordea.jpg Spearman September 28th, 2011, 04:38 AM 5 workers died building the Esb, i would think we can allow ourself a little more careful construction process. Sure, though you'd think the construction business had seen at least a few innovations since then to make up what safety costs us. Seems we haven't, though, which brings us to... Its a pretty dysfunctional market that always reflects demand almost a decade ago. SMCD September 29th, 2011, 01:45 PM I can´t read the document, the text seems to be censored! Are you using Safari? I had the same problem trying to view the document with that browser, but it works fine with Internet Explorer. Anyways; thanks for the link, IceCheese. So they are submitting the “planprogram” this very month? We should see some new information soon, then. I hope you’re not right with you time estimates, Ingenioren, but it wouldn’t surprise me if you were. SMCD December 2nd, 2011, 02:51 PM Updated time-scale on page 5: http://web102881.pbe.oslo.kommune.no/saksinnsyn/showfile.asp?fileid=3279168 According to that document KLP should have applied the “planprogram” to PBE in September, and they should have confirmed the fixed version last month. Can’t find any new documents released, though – does anyone know when we can expect some new information on this? IceCheese December 2nd, 2011, 05:58 PM ^^The suggestion for "planprogram" that should've been sent in September this year, is the actual document in my link;) You're asking for the same document as you link to! About the stadfesting being ready in November, I don't know, but it's not uncommon that it takes some days before a document is visible in the Innsyn-site. I don't think I've heard anything about a delay, except Jernbaneverket being in their usual criticizing self... Of course, a few weeks off is eitherway not uncommon. SMCD December 5th, 2011, 11:55 AM ^^ Heh, I feel pretty stupid now. I guess I didn’t look closely enough at the document and thought it was the proposal for the “planprogram” released back in March. Anyways, thanks for clearing that up. I will be patient then. SMCD February 1st, 2012, 04:36 PM Still nothing from PBE. Arkitektfelleskapet Krystallklar sent the following letter asking for some explanation for the delay dated 13th of January; http://web102881.pbe.oslo.kommune.no/saksinnsyn/showfile.asp?fileid=3421678 Galro February 1st, 2012, 05:26 PM I hope they can hurry up. The old brevsenter lowrise needs to go sooner rather than later. This will secure a faster construction start when the regulation plan actually is approved. We should avoid another fat 20-something-floor block in this sector. Unless our little petition gets wind, IMO rather have opt for the 10-12 floor ground scraper which they have already suggested. And lets hope SOMEONE is able to propose a nice SLIM high-rise in this area..!
