Euromast July 12th, 2011, 09:42 PM Metallica to welcome India's first Grand Prix (http://sports.ndtv.com/formula-1/news/item/175787-metallica-to-welcome-indias-first-grand-prix?pfrom=home-Sports)
New Delhi: US heavy metal outfit Metallica will rock India with their first-ever show in the country at a concert to mark the inaugural Formula One meeting in October.
"There are very few places in the world that we have not dragged our gear and crew to," the nine-time Grammy Award winners said on their website on Monday. "For the first time ever, we will be visiting India for two shows."
India are slated to host the Grand Prix on October 30 at a new $350 million circuit in Greater Noida on the outskirts of New Delhi.
The veteran rockers, famous for numbers like "Nothing Else Matters", will perform at the "F1 Rocks" gig in the satellite town of Gurgaon on October 28 and another show in Bangalore on Oct 30.
Ticket details for the shows are yet to be announced.
dreadathecontrols July 13th, 2011, 12:45 PM i heard an interesting statistic the other day
(as you all may have done if u get the bbc commentery for ur f1 coverage).
there are 5000 motorsport events in the UK per year.
that must include all the(some v small but important grass roots) club meets with some sort of competative structure
Hopefully the Noida F1 event will be the beginings of a wider participation in m/s in india.
Good luck and njoy

Hope that other big projects which generate employment and revenue come up in UP, that was what I was saying.

India's new Formula One circuit has made rupee millionaires out of hundreds of farmers who sold their land to make way for the track, but many are unhappy at the changes to their lives.
Life was tough but simple not very long ago for farmer Sanjay Singh and his tight-knit family of six who say they were content with their small piece of land on which they harvested cucumbers, vegetables and other crops.
Not any more.
Construction of the new $350-million circuit outside New Delhi, set to host the first Indian Grand Prix on October 30, has turned their lives upside down. "We sold away our land for the organisers of the race," Singh told AFP while supervising the construction of his new two-storey house in Dankaur-Sarlarpur village which overlooks the race circuit.
"We got the money in exchange, but it was a raw deal," the 49-year-old said without revealing the compensation amount, believed to be around five million rupees ($112,622) according to a senior village official.
"We are building a new house and we have a car now, but we are not happy because our means of livelihood which was farming has been snatched away," he added.
Around the dusty settlement of about 500 families, 80 kilometres (50 miles) from the capital, there are signs of construction as the newly wealthy improve their ramshackle homes.
In the background, trucks carrying construction materials rumble noisily along the badly potholed road to the circuit and buffalo graze in the rubbish-strewn open areas.
Singh says there is "ill-will among the villagers" because of jealousy and suspicion.
"Even in the families, sons are fighting over their share of money," he said. "They are giving up on their studies as they think they have enough money to last a lifetime.
"They roam around the whole day drinking beer and picking petty fights."
Across India, fights over land are taking place as companies and governments look for space for new industrial projects.
The existing land acquisition act dating back to 1894 allows the government to acquire any piece of land for projects in the "public interest" such as hospitals, roads and schools.
A new law has been promised, possibly as early as this year, but in the meantime perceived injustices over land acquisition flare up periodically.
Farmers complain they are being pushed off their land unfairly, while businesses say that industrial projects that provide jobs for local people are being unnecessarily held up.
The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry said in a 2009 report that land disputes had stalled 133 projects in the country, holding up investments to the tune of $100 billion.
The villagers of Dankaur-Sarlarpur illustrate how, even when compensation is paid generously and on time, strong emotional links to land and the lack of future prospects for uneducated farmers leave many dissatisfied.
Mukesh Kumar, a 22-year old college drop-out, has taken up work as a security guard at the racing circuit due to lack of other employment options.
"I have a temporary job but what after the race is over? The government had promised that at least one member of each family will get employment but that has not happened," he said.
"We would have been happier if we had jobs rather than some cash stashed in lockers."
Not everyone in the village though has made money out of the buying spree.
A few like Bihari Lal did not own any land and instead tilled the plots of other land-owners.
"We knew only farming but the farms are also gone. We have had to switch to construction work. Those who got money strut around in gold chains and drive fancy cars," said Lal. "We are stuck in the same misery."
Builders of the facility, the privately-owned Jaypee group, have been quick to dispel any notion of wrongdoing, stating that "mutually agreed compensation" was paid to the farmers.
It's work as usual for them at the site.
Trucks and other heavy vehicles buzz around in the grime and dust, workers labour around the clock, and alert security personnel ensure unwanted visitors are kept out of the state-of-the art facility.
The frenzy is understandable as Formula One bosses are set to visit the track, named Buddh International Circuit, on August 3 for an inspection.
The track looks likely to be ready to host the race, but there remains a lot of work to do.
"We made the long trip from our homes in west Delhi to be able to get a look at the track," said Himanshu Mehra, a 24-year-old motorsport fan.
"It can't get bigger than having an F1 race of our own. But some of our enthusiasm has gone down after looking around this place. You have exotic backdrops for races the world over -- be it Yas Marina or Monza.
"What will they show here? Buffaloes covered in mud?"
Back in the village, the general feeling among the older generation is one of disillusionment because of the difficulties in adapting to the new lifestyle.
And with money and aspirations have come frustrations -- over the poor roads, the open sewage system, the intermittent electricity supply and the lack of proper schools or hospitals in the vicinity.
"We have a new dish antenna which beams as many as 200 channels," said Santo Devi, an elderly woman who lives in a spacious house where buffaloes share space with a shiny new car in the front courtyard.
"But the problem is we can hardly watch TV because the electricity is only available for 3-4 hours. The government is allowing so much to be spent on racing cars but they have done nothing for the village.
"The money will get over with time. What will we do then? We will be left to beg in the streets."
dreadathecontrols July 30th, 2011, 11:38 AM i was up at silverstone last wkend for the 'classic'. bloody great meet btw.
they used both pits and paddocks so we got to see the new one, which the f1 commentators having been hailing as the best thing since sliced bread.
and believe me it aint nothing special.
its ok , buit not done to a very high standard like i imagine dubai or wherever.I walked around the whole complex on my way to race control (to get the press briefings and results)
so dont worry noida, india is absolutly capable , with ease,of producing something as good or better then the faciliaties in the .cradle of motor sport'.

ericos87 July 30th, 2011, 11:12 PM Indian Grand Prix to mark a historic first on home turf this October
POSTED ON 2011-07-30
http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/4021/indiangrandprix2011.jpg
Last week saw Force India pull a big winner at the German Grand Prix at Nurburgring. A bundle up at Silverstone caused Force India to lose precious points, and miss out on having both cars place in the top ten. P6 for Adrian Sutil is something the team will happily settle for while looking for more. It adds to their team power while the team inches its way towards October's inaugural Indian Grand Prix at Delhi, a home race for Force India for the first time.
P6 at Nurburgring for Adrian Sutil puts Force India in a good place. A top quality race, the German Grand Prix saw most races finish with Jenson Button being the only top contender to have retired. What could have been is difficult to predict, but if Paul di Resta wasn't involved in a first-lap accident with Nick Heidfeld at Nurburgring, both Force India cars may have finished with points.
Though Paul Di Resta hasn't yet put points on the board, team Force India has shown glimpses of hope with Paul starting at P6 at Silverstone this year, Adrian Sutil having started a race from P2, and Giancarlo Fisichella at pole position at Spa in 2009. While rule changes have serous cost implications in F1, the big teams don't seem as inundated with such changes because money isn't a limitation. The considerations for a team like Force India however change in a big way when FIA alters rules but despite these limitations the team is soon establishing themselves for a car that is quick enough.
Whether or not Force India takes home some points in the inaugural Indian Grand Prix this year is what everyone is talking about. Vijay Mallya looks at things realistically and understands that the team isn't yet a podium contender but hopes for points from every race. With another three months before F1 touches down on Indian turf, it's going to be all about utilizing this development time as best as possible. As of now, we're certainly in amidst the action that will culminate into an historic first Indian Grand Prix in a few weekends time. For those who wish to rock the event, you can be part of the F1 Rocks event and watch Metallica rock the race weekend. For Indian F1 enthusiasts, it's time to become part of a countdown that'll be a first for many and understand the implications of an international sporting event on home ground.

“We have been sending reports to the FIA on fortnightly basis and they are completely satisfied with the progress,” said Vicky Chandhok, president of the Federation of Motorsports Clubs in India.
“Actually the final inspection was scheduled for the first week of August and the track was ready for it. But FIA’s technical director Charlie Whiting confirmed that he will be coming to New Delhi only on August 31.”

Hi DATC
In fact it is a Ginetta G4 and it is me in action at paddock bend during the 70's at Brands Hatch contesting the STP modsports championship . Not bad managing to hold off 2 Lotus Elans and a Turner from the higher class.
I had a very mediocre career during which I won £15 and 5 gallons of Duckhams oil before retiring to obscurity!

Pedro Rodriguez just happens to be my favourite driver of all times especially his exploits in the Porsche 917's.
You mention the Festival of Speed plus the Revival meeting, afraid I gave up going this year as the events have proved too popular, I am fed up with all the pushing and shoving and getting to choosey at my age!
Goodwood is fairly near as is Brighton because I live near Gatwick. I try to visit a GP a year and it is India this year. Done OZ, China and Malaysia in the last 3 years.
I am fortunate in that I live in Thailand for 7-8 months of the year so they are easily reached. I did at lot of the European GP's when I was younger but now prefer the more exotic destinations ....... So I am looking forward to MOD's pics to see what I have let myself in for!

Indian motorsport president Chandhok voices concerns over 2012 Indian GP date
By Simon Strang Saturday, August 6th 2011, 11:23 GMT
Vicky Chandhok, Indian motor sport federation president, 2012Indian motor sport federation president Vicky Chandhok has voiced concerns about the event's proposed April 22 slot on the 2012 Formula 1 calendar which the sport's supremo Bernie Ecclestone submitted to the teams ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix last weekend.
Following team principals remarks that they are set to ask Ecclestone for a rethink due to the logistical demands of fly-away back-to-back races at the end of the season, Chandhok believes New Dehli's race could also benefit from a change of date due to the country's hot weather at that time of the year. Temperatures in the region are frequently just below 40 degrees centigrade during April. On average only May is a hotter month for Dehli.
"I am not happy with April because it's going to be hot," Chandhok, father of Team Lotus driver Karun, told Reuters.
"But if we have to go in April we will go. But I really think that the ideal dates for India are when it's cooler. Maybe March or you go to October, November, December."
Chandhok added that he believed that New Dehli's debut on the world stage will impress F1 when it hosts India's inaugural grand prix on October 30 this year.
"I have been to every single racetrack in the world," he said. "It's going to be one of the fastest circuits in the world. A 1.2 km straight and three corners that have now been redefined - they are following the new FIA guidelines to encourage overtaking.
"I think it's going to be phenomenal. There will be lot of scope of overtaking."
Chandhok also insisted that preparations for this year's event remain on track in spite of FIA delegate Charlie Whiting delaying his final inspection until the beginning of September.
"He is visiting Korea at the end of this month, on his way back he is flying over Delhi," said Chandhok. "So he will stop over at Delhi as it will make logical sense for the FIA. It's purely procedural and a matter of convenience for the date of inspection."

ericos87 August 11th, 2011, 02:55 PM Formula1 expected to trigger auto racing frenzy in India
11 AUG, 2011, 02.39PM IST, AP
NEW DELHI: With names like Sachin Tendulkar already being linked to a racing franchise concept, India's usually overshadowed motor racing fraternity is banking on the arrival of Formula One to spark a surge in domestic interest in their sport.
As workers put in overtime to get the Buddh International Circuit into shape, officials are growing in confidence that the Oct. 30 Indian F1 Grand Prix will change the face of motor racing in this country of 1.2 billion where all sports take a backseat to cricket.
''It's a dream come true,'' said Vicky Chandhok, president of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs in India. ``For the motorsport fraternity, it's fantastic to get F1 on home soil.''
Chandhok dismissed concerns about any delay in completion of the $215 million track about 40 kilometers from New Delhi in the satellite town of Greater Noida.
''It will project India as a technologically driven country, since F1 is the most technology-driven sport in the world,'' he told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. ''We already have a few drivers in the international arena and you must note that F1 has huge television audiences. So you can expect a lot of youngsters to take to the sport.''
The 5.14-kilometer track is part of a sports city being developed by the Jaypee Group, which has vast interests in real estate. Jaypee Group has 10-year rights for the Indian F1 race. The venue has been designed by German architect Hermann Tilke, who has designed many of the new circuits that have been added to the sport's calendar in recent years.
Seeking to capitalize on the predicted boom, a motorsports management company has announced the launch of a city-based franchise competition this December, albeit using star cricket icon Tendulkar as its brand ambassador.
Motor racing joins an increasing group of sports launching pro leagues in India following the stunning success of cricket's lucrative Indian Premier League.
American football, field hockey, volleyball, badminton and tennis are among the sports to have either launched their leagues or made announcements already.
The i1 Super Series, which has sought clearance from motorsport's governing body, the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), will feature teams from nine Indian cities competing in seven Asian cities: New Delhi, Chennai in India; Abu Dhabi, Doha and Dubai in the Gulf; Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia; and Pattaya, Thailand.
''Cricket and Bollywood stars as well as some top industrialists have shown a keen interest to own teams,'' Machdar Motorsports' chief executive M. Darshan told reporters in Mumbai last week.
It is expected to further fuel interest in the sport initially evoked by Narain Karthikeyan, who in 2005 became the first Indian to race in the high-profile series for Jordan.
Karthikeyan, who drove for Hispania in the early part of this year's F1 championship, expects the Indian Grand Prix to make motor racing a mainstream sport.
''I'm absolutely sure that its success will be the starting point for a big surge in Indian motorsport. We've been on the threshold for a few years now and this should give us a shot in the arm,'' Karthikeyan said.
Vicky Chandhok's son Karun, who emulated Karthikeyan when he made his debut with Hispania last year and had since switched to Lotus, feels business support is vital.
''More people will want to be associated with the sport,'' Karun Chandhok said. ''Our biggest challenge has always been funding. I hope more corporates step forward and see the benefits of being associated with the sport.''
Indians have taken some interest in the performance of Force India, an F1 team run by liquor baron Vijay Mallya for four years now.
Force India drivers Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta had shown improved form after a sluggish start to the season, and will be eager to perform well on the team's home track.
''There has been huge interest in F1 for many years, so the fan base is already there. Last year's Monaco Grand Prix was watched by 27 million people back home. That's more than the TV figures for the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy combined,'' Karun Chandhok said.
''If only 0.5 per cent of that audience comes for the race, it would give us a crowd of 150,000 spectators.''
Like the Korean Grand Prix which debuted in 2010, the area where the circuit is being built was originally agricultural land, but is designed to become a new suburb with apartment and townhouse complexes, which are also under construction.
The developers are hoping to market the area as a sports city, complete with a cricket stadium and golf course.
It is a dusty area right now, with security guards keeping a tight vigil in the vicinity to keep out curious residents and media.
There has been litigation over land acquisitions in other parts of Greater Noida, but not in the area of the circuit, which is expected to seat around 150,000 spectators, with 20,000 in the main grandstand, and corporate facilities for up to 5,000 in the hospitality areas.
Organizers are planning a national racing meet after the FIA inspection on Sept. 1 and before the Grand Prix. Some luxury and media facilities will be completed next year, with work on those not expected to start until after the inaugural race.
Unlike last year's New Delhi Commonwealth Games, which promised to put the spotlight on India's growing power and rapidly-growing economy but caused international embarrassment amid building delays and allegations of corruption, the F1 race is expected to start without any major hitch.
Jaypee Group executive chairman Manoj Gaur played down any concern about construction delays when he last spoke publicly about the F1 circuit.
''Be assured my friends. Our and our country's reputation is there. We are responsible people. The track is ready,'' he told reporters in April. ''It's a privilege to do something for India. Before the champions are born, we have to give them the infrastructure.''

I agree, in this circuit maybe will be run between 3 or 5 races, the FIA cannot permit to damage is image, promoting a divide between rich and poors, and this divide you can see with the construction of the Circuit, the asistants to the event will be the people with more purchasing power and no will bring some economic help for the arounds citizens of this poors villages and workers and his families.

rockystone August 18th, 2011, 01:31 PM Indian GP gets thumbs up from Ecclestone
Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone on Thursday gave a thumbs up to the preparations for the inaugural Indian Grand Prix on October 30 but said that the organisers need to put in extra effort to generate interest for the race in the cricket-crazy nation.
Ecclestone, the Formula One Group CEO, was speaking on the occasion of an announcement to mark telecom giant Bharti Airtel's association with the race as its title sponsors.
"F1 is new to India. It would take efforts to generate interest. We will never catch cricket but we can get close to...perhpas with extra effort," Ecclestone said after unveiling the logo of the race.
Ecclestone, the 82-year-old British sports entrepreneur, was pleased with the pace of work at the Budh International Circuit, the venue for the race.
"It will be one of the nicest circuit and will complete in time. People are there, checking everything on daily basis. It will be in good shape," he said.
Asked whether F1 needs India or India needs F1, Ecclestone replied, "India is one of the top 5 countries, it's a major part of the world and we wanted a championship here.
"When I came here, I was pleased (with what I saw). Things will be fine. In the end we will do good things for India."
He also said that 30 per cent of the total spectators will come from abroad, especially Europe.
Sanjay Kapoor, CEO - India and South Asia, Bharti Airtel, said there was a lot of merit in having an association with the world's most popular motorsport event.
"Such events do not come cheap. We see value in this in investment. We met five-six months back and meeting of the minds happened at first time. F1 is a sports and Airtel is a brand. Both resonate well in the contemporary markets," he said.
He did not give a direct answer when asked if association with F1 was the reason behind their decision to pull out as sponsors of the Champions League Twenty20 tournament.
"You take decision keeping in mind the brand. We keep balancing the portfolios," Kapoor said.

ericos87 August 18th, 2011, 10:57 PM F1 Chief Says India Grand Prix on Track After Inspection Delay
By Kartikay Mehrotra - Aug 18, 2011 4:35 PM ET
Formula One chief executive Bernie Ecclestone said preparations for India’s inaugural Grand Prix are on schedule after an inspection of the circuit still being built on the outskirts of New Delhi was delayed by a month.
“We have people on the ground on a daily basis and they’re telling me we have no problems with construction and everything is on time,” Ecclestone, who heads the Formula One Group that organizes the 19-race series, said in India’s capital.
F1 officials will now test the Buddh International Circuit developed by Indian construction company Jaiprakash Associates Ltd. (JPA) on Aug. 31, Ecclestone said at a sponsorship event. “It will be signed-off on in the first week of September,” ahead of the Oct. 30 race, he said.
Guidelines of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile, the world’s governing body for motorsport, stipulate tracks should be fully tested at least 90 days before a competition.
“We were ready for the inspection in the first week of August but we all agreed that it made sense” for F1’s Race Director Charlie Whiting “to come at the end of the month,” Vicky Chandhok, president of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India, said today in a phone interview. “Logistically, it made sense for Whiting to fly to Delhi around the same time as the other inspections in the region.”
‘Lot of Work’
Whiting will evaluate progress in finishing the pit-lane and grandstand area along with the necessary safety measures at Jaypee’s Sports City, about 30 miles southeast of New Delhi, said Chandhok. “There are parts that need a lot of work,” he said. “I think they’ll have it done by the end of September.”
He described Whiting’s inspection as an “open dialogue” instead of “a series of ultimatums where we either meet a deadline or we’re out.”
Sameer Kumar, the press officer handling the grand prix for Jaiprakash Associates, said the company would not comment on the race until Aug. 20, when details on ticket availability for the race are scheduled to be released.
Monsoon rains have slowed work at the circuit, Raju Kapai, a 33-year-old construction worker who has been at the site for two years, said in an interview. “Rain has made work impossible, we have not made much progress in the last 10 days,” Kapai said.
Almost a year after the Indian capital’s Commonwealth Games was hit by the collapse of a pedestrian bridge less than a month before the opening ceremony and international headlines over filthy athletes’ accommodation, Chandhok and his son, Karun Chandhok, a reserve driver for F1’s Team Lotus, said the absence of state agencies had made life easier.
“Luckily, we don’t have the government involved,” said Vicky Chandhok.

raakshas August 20th, 2011, 07:08 AM MoD bhai, your pics were published in this article (http://www.motorsport-total.com/f1/news/2011/08/Indien_so_gut_wie_fertig_Sorgen_unbegruendet_11081804.html) on motorsport-total.com, which is a German website covering motor sport. The whole article is based on your pics, since they don't have any other information from first hand sources (maybe because they don't have capable journalists). They have credited you, but since they are using the photos for commercial purposes you have the right to get reimbursed. Just notifying you in case you are not aware of it.
And for those intersted, the article basically poses the question whether the circuit will be finished on time. Since they don't have anything other than the photos by MoD, they say it looks like there's a lot to be done. They quote the official travel agency of the F1 and says that JPSK haven't answered emails from the agency and that they've lost customers because it's not clear when the tickets will be available. They say they've asked JPSK for current photos but they told them to wait for next week since it rained this week.

UrbanTurban August 20th, 2011, 07:43 AM Those are all old pics but the article is new. They are using old pics to raise doubts on the project. If the stakeholders of the project bother about it. They can find IR in few easy steps (from the article to ssc to mod to his signature). Though motorsport-total.com is using pics for commercial purpose (the article has got some ads), asking for reimbursement wouldn't be great idea, considering if it doesn't go well with jaypee group, their PR team may contact website. They will say they bought the pics. But it doesn't seem likely.
I will suggest people to use Flickr as photo repository. It has got good copyright management and publishers are aware of it and they follow it. I dont know about other services but on flickr uploader can set that the photo is free to use for non commercial purposes without editing and with credits. That covers everything.

There are few other tools that come handy. Here is how to do it in simple steps-
1) keep everything in one folder
2) Resize image to 1024x768 (its good enough size IMO)
3) put watermark if you want
* Kigo (http://www.kigosoft.com/kigo-image-converter) does resize and watermark in a batch
4) Open picasa web (https://picasaweb.google.com) and go to upload section
5) drag all pcis from your desktop to the dropbox of picasa in ur browser.
6) wait for upload to finish
ps: By the time i finish the post i hope IR has posted his pics already :)
vinblr August 20th, 2011, 10:10 AM Hi MOD,
Use FastStone Photo Resizer... Use can download portable version too from
http://www.faststonesoft.net/DN/FSResizer31.zip
It helps to re-size the pics (i wish u dont).. I re-sized the 4mb pics to just 256kb without reducing the quality of pics and also add texts to the pic, like the way i add for NM pics....
vinblr August 20th, 2011, 10:16 AM But official F1 site yet to go live for booking.... So Guys wait.....

UrbanTurban August 20th, 2011, 10:34 AM There is premium north stand on the map, but its not showing in tickets list. I think apart from grandstand that's the only stand from where starting grid can be seen.

Maybe there would be some setting in ur account to make the album private. Otherwise there is no copyright tag on your images at imageshack. If someone reaches that page, he can use the image freely as there is no usage restriction mentioned.

IndiansUnite August 20th, 2011, 09:27 PM Fabulous updates there!
The main/final inspection is on the 31st of this month (approval itself comes in the first week of September) , so the construction will go down to the wire. But since Bernie Ecclestone is fine with the progress, there's no reason to worry as of yet.
Master of Disguise August 20th, 2011, 09:37 PM ^^ Thanks...After long time ...

Cosmicbliss August 21st, 2011, 02:16 PM Nice work MoD. I remember how many people dismissed the idea of Formula One Track in India as impossible, as something which could never happen. Great to see it happening before our eyes. Congrats, keep it up!
Pedro917 August 22nd, 2011, 11:24 AM Well I have now booked my ticket Premium stand south, which should have a good view over all of circuit plus it's covered :banana2:
Thanks again to MOD and look forward to updates prior to race!

World8115 August 22nd, 2011, 08:31 PM MOD bhai now they have included your SSC link on the page. It is better if you watermark your images from now to avoid situation like this. Use Picmarkr or similar softwware
Heres the message from a user of that website (http://www.aaformula1.com/2011/08/f1-india-latest-construction-pictures.html):
Hi Dear Friend,
Apologies for not giving you due credit, have included the same now.
Problem is we sourced these images from Indian GP facebook wall and tried hard to find a source for the same, but were unsuccessful.
We are as passionate as you are about the Indian GP and want to keep the viewers updated with the latest progress. A friendly suggestion that you can watermark your pictures very easily and it will maintain the ownership of your pictures (As you have helped us a lot, if required our team can help you in watermarking your pictures).
Thanks & Regards

The issue has been sorted now with due credits given to you. Since all your updates are of big ticket projects, just use MS Paint or any equivalent software from now on. Even if you stamp your name on the point of interest (road or building), it should be fine with us.
Hi Guys...I'm new to SSC-I. Would like to share some more pix I found on the web!

vinblr August 23rd, 2011, 01:26 PM Hi MOD,
Anywayz thanks for great pics..... Generally F1 is perceived as Rich Man's game... I hope F1 from Buddh reaches even the common man and helps to carve Indian Schumachers in future :):) ...
Any idea when ticketing officially opens on F1 Official website???? Is it after FIA Inspection???
Cosmicbliss August 23rd, 2011, 02:00 PM Don't worry, in India, things may get delayed but in the end everything will be fine, Mayawati will inaugarate it and tens thousands would have got employment (most important thing). Everything will work out-yeh hai India meri jaan:)

Motor racing organisers expect full house for Indian Grand Prix (http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/news-by-industry/et-cetera/Motor-racing-organisers-expect-full-house-for-Indian-Grand-Prix/articleshow/9706508.cms)
NEW DELHI: If the early response is anything to go by, the organisers of the Indian Grand Prix should have little to worry about over the turnout for the country's inaugural Formula One race on the outskirts of Delhi on Oct. 30.
Tickets worth 12.5 million rupees ($273,768) were snapped up in the first three hours of sales on Saturday, leaving Ashish Hemrajani, head of race ticketing partner Bookmyshow.com, in no doubt that there will be a full house at the Buddh International Circuit.
"Honestly, we did expect such a response. After all, it's the first ever Formula One race in India and there was anticipation over when tickets would finally go on sale," Hemrajani told Reuters by phone.
"So far, we have sold tickets worth more than 50 million rupees. We knew the response would be good and we are very pleased.
"Outside cricket and cinema, you don't get such response. I think most of the tickets sold so far must have gone to people living in and around Delhi.
"We would be launching packages soon for the foreigners for their travel and stay. We will see some traction coming soon."
Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone last week gave the 5.14-km circuit a resounding thumbs-up ahead of its Sept. 1 homologation and home drivers Narain Karthikeyan and Karun Chandhok are also impressed by the layout.
"The first time I went there was in April last year and saw a lot of mud and a few ponds," Chandhok told reporters at Saturday's ticket launch programme.
"The undulation they created is very, very impressive... it adds to the character of the circuit," said the reserve driver, who replaced Lotus team mate Jarno Trulli in a one-off appearance in last month's German Grand Prix.
"I think we got two to three special corners with double the width to promote overtaking. This is the first circuit in the world with overtaking zones recommended by some drivers and (FIA race director) Charlie Whiting."
Hispania discard Karthikeyan, who will be back behind the wheel for his home grand prix, had similar views.
"I can straightway relate to some of the corners," the former Jordan driver said. "There are a lot of overtaking opportunities and I have seen four to five such places."
