One of my favorites in Indianapolis, it is great for it's age. I love the interior too, a class act all around.
Liz L November 15th, 2003, 03:50 PM 7/10 - It looks solid & well-maintained, and the base and cornice seem to be well-done & harmonious, with their matching style & material. They also provide a good counterpoint to the red brick of the shaft.
The main reason I marked it down is that I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of that "almost Sullivanesque" ornamentation, or at least some indication of where the beams are, along the shaft (something Sullivan generally added to his buildings), which looks a bit bland compared to the cornice and base.
renell November 15th, 2003, 08:40 PM 7.5/10 nice "modern old" building:D
