Damgårdsveien 99

Damgårdsveien 99 is a phase of the larger Damgårdsundet project which was started on in 2001. One of this first real
projects, a 44.5m/12 floor tall residential high-rise building. The developer hope to build this highrise in wood, making it
the worlds tallest wooden building. Lund & Partnere Arkitekter AS (http://www.lundogpartnere.no/) is the architect firm behind the project which is on
early proposal stage.

Seems to be a very nice project. :)

so, i take it this project is cancelled then.. or what? i cant seem to find any new information about it.

itd be a shame if its true, though.. id love to see this building built.

^^ this one is not cancelled yet, unless you have seen new proposals for this site. Just a few months ago i saw this project on the commercial to some wooden-building meeting.

Project is still on track and we might see sales-start next year

The building is impressive structure-wise, but the exterior design and facades is shit. Its not a bad idea to reveal the structure as facades, but making it 'nice' that way is ridiculously difficult. It certainly doesn't work too well in this case.

I think it looks very industrial. Like a highrise warehouse.

Wow, I certainly love the idea of a highrise at this location and I'm glad to see the plans are still alive.. but as trondheimer pointed out, the design is unforunately shit.

And what's the building to the left of it in the render?

It looks a bit like IKEA shelving with white boxes on most of the shelves.
