Here are some photos of the medium suburb of KCMO named Overland Park.
The tallest (and most recent) is a 22 floor Sheraton hotel.

Nice buildings, nice atmosphere, nice highways :D and massive residential zones shown at last pic

These residential zone should be considered as art!

All together a nice suburban city.

However, this is about skyline so I can't give more than 6.5/10. There are just skylines out there which are much more impressive.

The trees are taller than most buildings.. .

That can either be a good thing or a bad thing :D

Looks nice, with different appearnces on all the buildings. A bit too spread out though, looks too much like a park, but impressive nonetheless for a suburban centre in KCMO, which is not such a big city.

Cheers

"which is not such a big city."
Not quite ;)
2 million people in the metro
450k in the city
The metro grew by 12.2% 99-00
Also, our skyline is sorta large, (just look at the KCMO thread)

KC is fairly big yeah, but something like OP I would have expected to see in a bigger city (ie complimenting ya), and I actually thought until recently that it was part of Chicago somewhere...... don't know where I got that idea from ;)

Big!

Very nice suburb with many nice buildings.
I like this kind of skyline:

For the skyline: 4/10 There're some nice buildings, but no real skyline

I gave OP a 4 because the skyline is not tall. I must agree that it did remind of an office park in the commercial area. I think the trees, although very nice in between, also diminishes the height of the buildings. A composition problem but nevertheless, may have skewed my opinion. OP does have a lot of hotels A sure sign of commerce. So I'm sure architect are designing a building to eclipse the 22 story hotel.

Are there living people there to ?
Hard to believe looking at these kind of pictures !

at tihs time, business and residential districts are rarely integrated into one another in american cities. most likely, this business district is surrounded by residential subdivisions consisting of single family homes and townhomes.

actually, downtown KC is becoming more like a real city and has residential skyscrapers, residential homes and of course, office towers. (along with hotel towers)

I don't think I've ever seen something like this. What the hell? An 'office park'? I'll give it a 5 for the weird/random factor.

Pick any major U.S. city's "beltway" and this is the stuff you find. Uninspiring, boring, auto-oriented. 3.5/10.

8/10- nice buildings and very green, but it needs more buildings (not necessarily TALL buildings) that fit in with the rest.
