The setbacks and different facades make it a bit interesting.

The setbacks give it a great look, especially for a part of town indudated with boxy scrapers and also has a New York feel to it. The setbacks were done to prevent the tower breaching the sun access plane over the Pitt St mall

Wish it were taller, and the base is fantastic, building was built around a small corner shop (Darrell Lea chocolates, a Sydney institution) and also contains Sydney Arcade a soaring curved arcade going to Pitt St Mall.

BTW The above 4-level soaring arcade is wonderfully heated during Sydney's coldest months especially from about late June contintuing through to early-mid September. It is also kind of retro art-deco on closer examination.
