How can those guys praise a snake, a traitor? I couldn't give a .... if the guy was my brother, you just cannot sell out and be honoured for it. Both Kongos' peoples have a long way to go to recover the pride and confidence that it will take to develop, have you seen the whole Brazza monument/museum in Brazzaville? :ohno: Whilst Kinshasa's street vendors may add to the problem the underlying fact remains that none of the state utilities functions like a normal city, that is the root cause of it all. The street vendors are victims of a corrupt and incompetent system from the top down, we cannot blame them for trying to live when otherwise most of them would be in school. Kinshasa is just a big disgrace but I don't want to derail this thread by going on and on about my birth city. This year, the binmen of Amsterdam went on strike for just a little while and check out the pictures of how Holland's premier city was beginning to look, imagine this neglect over a much longer period of time and you have Kinshasa. http://aintthatgreat.blogspot.com/2010/05/amsterdam-bin-men-go-on-strike.html BUTEMBO21 December 7th, 2010, 01:31 AM http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/01/b2/0e/42/avenue-lomami.jpg BUTEMBO21 December 7th, 2010, 01:40 AM How can those guys praise a snake, a traitor? I couldn't give a .... if the guy was my brother, you just cannot sell out and be honoured for it. He is popular for being one of the pro independence leaders and 1st Black Governor of Katanga. However; Lots of Lunda people (Moise Tshombe and Katumbi's Tribe) like him because of what he did for the country and the province during struggle for independence. But the thing about independent Katanga , he was just a Belgian Super Puppet. Because after he had Katanga independent , LubaKati (led by Jason Sendwe) didn't want to stay part of Katanga, so they declared that their Seccession from Katanga and wanted to remain Part of greater Congo:lol:. In this group, (That where Mzee Kabila came out) . Hence why You hear and see Jason Sendwe streets, Hospitals, schools after him. The real hero here is Jason Sendwe who fought to preserve 1 Congo. But let the Lunda people celebrate their here as well. Not that they have more impact than Lubakati who make up (70% of the province). Thing is. Jason Sendwe (Though Lubakati) is a National here for keeping Kongo one nation. Tshombe is just a here t Lunda people. Both Kongos' peoples have a long way to go to recover the pride and confidence that it will take to develop, have you seen the whole Brazza monument/museum in Brazzaville? :ohno: Yes we do. Whilst Kinshasa's street vendors may add to the problem the underlying fact remains that none of the state utilities functions like a normal city, that is the root cause of it all. +1 BUTEMBO21 December 16th, 2010, 09:14 AM http://lh4.ggpht.com/_-NDlb_jtfIg/TNBCRN7LT0I/AAAAAAAADiY/lLzE_3drnkA/IMG_2703.JPG http://lh5.ggpht.com/_-NDlb_jtfIg/TNBDBMHkBrI/AAAAAAAADkU/rmQFw8f7Vw4/IMG_2853.JPG BUTEMBO21 December 16th, 2010, 09:15 AM http://lh3.ggpht.com/_-NDlb_jtfIg/TNBCPzyD7KI/AAAAAAAADiU/lxTJCOBSNS0/IMG_2702.JPG BUTEMBO21 December 16th, 2010, 09:17 AM http://lh6.ggpht.com/_-NDlb_jtfIg/TNBCOXTwYzI/AAAAAAAADiQ/sWiBna1M3IY/IMG_2701.JPG BUTEMBO21 December 16th, 2010, 09:29 AM http://lh5.ggpht.com/_-NDlb_jtfIg/TNBAws5avbI/AAAAAAAADec/14oyKiHC3FQ/IMG_2416.jpg BUTEMBO21 December 16th, 2010, 09:34 AM http://lh6.ggpht.com/_-NDlb_jtfIg/TNBCStOTNtI/AAAAAAAADic/j_cMqptGxqg/IMG_2704.JPG Nijal December 17th, 2010, 11:17 PM http://lh6.ggpht.com/_-NDlb_jtfIg/TNBCStOTNtI/AAAAAAAADic/j_cMqptGxqg/IMG_2704.JPG Un minibus a failli me renverser à cet endroit. Hadrami June 19th, 2011, 06:48 PM At least 2.5 million people. MBA-Congo June 21st, 2011, 11:30 PM One million in Katuba? Dang have you been in Katuba?, I was there last year and I'm sure its a bit too much for Katuba Katuba is huge, it has grown. But then maybe that is bit to much but to say less, alot of people reside in Katuba. Alot, I know a doctor building a hospital there he gave an estimate on how many people reside there. Plus Katuba is a huge commune. People were flooded this year. Still pisses me off how a stadium is priority over canals in neighborhoods that are prone to floods.
