Have we ever seen models or renders with the simmilar looking towers on the DIFC centerpiece plot? When not, than the tower, that looks simmilar as the Shanghai center design by gensler, could be the centerpiece of this project. And this one is a redesigned version of the towers, we thought are the centerpiece towers. Because having two nearly identical looking towers in the same project, is a little bit weird.

Designed in harmony with nature, the DIFC Central proposal is an iconic, highperformance building that speaks of the optimism of a sustainable future by providing for the needs of its occupants, socially, culturally and economically. Grounded in the earth and reaching for the sky, the dramatic, soaring form of the paired towers evokes an organic sculpture shaped by the winds of the desert. At ground level, two sculpted towers define a major glazed public space, or piazza, and emphasize two major axes that bisect the DIFC site. A dynamic wind turbine floats above the apex of the space, creating a visual focal point while harnessing the abundant energy supply.

The 100 story tall ‘West Tower’ and the 75 story ‘East Tower’ are structurally inter-dependant but incorporate cross connections that tie the tower cores together. These paired towers are then able to act as a single structure or vertical truss, which increases the slenderness of each tower and reduces the overall mass of each core. Shaped to harness the prevailing ‘Shamal’ winds that blow from the Persian Gulf, the towers’ form maximizes energy production from the vertical axis wind turbine held between the structural cross connections. This iconic wind turbine is a bold statement on future sustainability, both environmental and financial.
