Hi Gents,

It will be interesting to know what your dream is for 2010? What would you like to see international media reporting about our country? What do you think must be improved?

Just everything including the times that you think the opening ceremony should be celebrated? What do you think will impress the visitors based on today's progress?

As for me ...
I would like to to see our cities being walkable 24/7.
I would like to see the government attending TRP as a matter of urgency.
I would prefer the opening ceremony being taking place at about 7 - 8 at night
I think accomodation will be impressive.

And to us !... I hate being Hi-jacked... getting home and have my house Jacked to!

Imagine... after all the reports of how rampant crime is in SA, not one incident of serious or violent crime... that won't just impress those who visit, but will impress the whole damn world that is watching.

w.r.t. accommodation, BettieBlue... how far under are we... latest stats here for Durban/KZN is only 45% rooms available, we are short 55%.

shortage of rooms means more cruise ships. I look forward to the V&A and Table Bay filled with cruise ships with those lights around them, the stadium lit up, along with the CBD and waterfront. 2010 logo obviously projected onto table moutain.

remember we made it to the olympics final barely losing to argentina....in a rematch of the 1996 olympics final. With odemwinge...and nigeria is improving....we also won the 2007 u-17 world cup...2 years from now we will assemble a team that will challenge the world.

The Olympics can't be used as a reason. Ghana has won a gold medal and they've never challenged the cup, same goes for Nigeria. African teams have always won youth tournaments, so nothing has really changed.

My bad, Cameroon not Ghana. But here's a statistic to ponder on, what are the only two countries to win a world cup outside of South America and Europe? :)

(hint their both in South America)
