Meydan prepares tender for 72-floor tower

Published: 07 October 2008 14:57 GMT Author: Colin Foreman

Tender documents are being prepared for the main tower at the Meydan racecourse development, in the Nad al-Sheba area of Dubai.
The project involves the construction of a 75-floor mixed-use tower straddling the canal and that will run though the development.

Maybe, but if the model is any representation of the actual towers, then the numbers are wrong. It definitely doesn't look like its 75 floors tall.

The Meydan Group also relaunched its stalled 72-storey Meydan Tower in Sheikh Zayed Road, originally proposed by the group in 2009 as its first venture outside its key Meydan City development.

Sheikh Mohammed gave the name 'Victory Tower' to Meydan's newly-launched project which is set to dominate the Sheikh Zayed Road skyline in Dubai representing the group's first foray outside the iconic sporting, business and lifestyle destination Meydan City.

Could possibly be the plot next to Park Place that was cordoned off with Meydan hoarding for over a year, back in 2008/2009.........
