كشف نائب المدير العام في بلدية الكويت غسان الثاقب عن قيام البلدية بعمليات المسح لمنطقة تقع غرب مدينة الكويت وغرب محافظة الجهراء وذلك لتشييد مدينة صناعية وسكنية جماعية متكاملة باسم مدينة النعايم وذلك بعيد تنازل شركة نفط الكويت عن أراض تملكها في هذه المنطقة لتشييد المدينة الجديدة وذلك عن طريق مجلس الوزراء بعد تخلي الشركة عن امتيازاتها في حقوق التملك في هذه الأراضي كاشفا عن وجود تنسيق مع جميع الوزارات ذات الصلة بهذا الموضوع ومنوها بالمدينة الجديدة التي اعتبرها من كبريات المدن في الكويت وتأتي ضمن الخطة القاضية بتحويل الكويت إلى مركز مالي وتجاري في المنطقة كمدينة الحرير ومدينة الشيخ جابر ومدينة الخيران وجزيرة فيلكا وبوبيان لافتا إلى أن المدينة الجديدة مازالت في طور المسح والتقسيم.
وأضاف الثاقب على هامش افتتاحه مع وكيل وزير الدولة المساعد لشؤون مجلس الأمة احمد المرشد لمعرض الكويت العقاري الثاني عشر أمس، ان دور البلدية يقتصر على توفير الأراضي وتقسيمها مشيرا الى ان مدينة النعايم تعتبر مدينة متكاملة من حيث احتوائها على مناطق صناعية وسكنية لافتا إلى أن بلدية الكويت ستراعي التشريعات المتبعة في إنشاء المدينة الجديدة واقتصار دورها على توفير الأراضي للاستعمالات المختلفة وتجهيزها للاستخدام من جميع الجهات بما فيه القطاع الخاص متمنيا مشاركة القطاع الخاص بأفكار جديدة وبناءة للدخول الى مدينة النعايم لتكون الكويت رائدة في مجال التطوير العقاري وبناء المدن متوقعا الانتهاء من عمليات المسح خلال الشهرين القادمين.
اما فيما يخص مدينة الحرير فبين الثاقب أن المجلس البلدي اعتمد المدينة بالإضافة الى اعتمادها من قبل مجلس الوزراء بانتظار تشكيل كيان لهذه المدينة مؤلف من جميع الاختصاصات والوزارات والجهات الحكومية لتسهيل الإجراءات الحكومية من حيث الموافقة على اصدار التراخيص وعمليات توزيع وتقسيم الأراضي.
وتطرق الثاقب إلى مشروع الطريق الإقليمي الذي يصل شمال الكويت بجنوبه والطريق الدائري الثامن كاشفا عن التنسيق بين بلدية الكويت ووزارة الاشغال لتنفيذ المشروع.
