Mr Bones goes to the Currie Cup Final

Mr Bones, the white sangoma and South Africa’s most loved movie character will be attending the Currie Cup Final between the Sharks and the Blue Bulls at ABSA Stadium on Saturday, 25 October 2008. Mr Bones is known to be a die-hard rugby fan and the game of rugby was woven into the script of the latest Mr Bones film, Mr Bones 2: Back From The Past with scenes shot at ABSA Stadium. Springbok and World Cup flyhalf, Butch James made a guest appearance in the film.

Speaking from his home in Kavukiland, Mr Bones said, “I am so looking forward to the match. It’s going to be very, very exciting! The Bulls, they must be very careful because they are playing at the seaside where the Sharks live. The Sharks are very strong when they are near the sea and my bones, they tell me that the Sharks will gobble up the Bulls.”

Mr Bones has a strong Durban connection, having shot Mr Bones 2: Back From The Past in the city. Among the locations used in the film are Prince Edward Street, Blue Lagoon, The Pearls of Umhlanga, La Mercy Beach, Verulam and Dakota Informal Settlement in Isipingo Beach.

Mr Bones 2: Back From The Past will be released nationwide on 27 November 2008 by Videovision Entertainment through United International Pictures. Mr Bones 2: Back From The Past is a Videovision Entertainment production in association with Distant Horizon and Mr Bones (Pty) Ltd. The film stars Leon Schuster, Leeanda Reddy, Tongayi Chirisa and Kaseran Pillay. It is edited by Johan Lategan and director of photography is Chris Schutte with music by Didi Kriel. The film is executive produced by Sudhir Pragjee and Sanjeev Singh with the screenplay by Leon Schuster and Gray Hofmeyr, produced by Anant Singh and Helena Spring and directed by Gray Hofmeyr.

Before I found out from SSC, the only SA Rugby Team I knew was Natal Sharks. Never heard about the Bulls.

after 12 years, it was worth it, went after the game to join in the festivaties, and there after headed to the beach to catch the fireworks display at the FNB Durban Diwali festival, what an awesome night!!!!

Man me too Durbsboi everybody was pissed off when DSTV got disconnected during 10 min of first half at Rover Club there was shouting till ryan pienaar try in show time lol.

I was right there in rover rugby club. Hell freak too many sharks and bulls supporter everywhere. weird thing some guy paint blue all over body & some guy paint black & white on body.
