The Parisian suburbs really have beautiful architecture (both historic& modern),they look almost as beautiful as Paris itself , there're probably the most beautiful suburbs of the world...
and also probably the most urban suburbs in the world, I don't think that you can tell the difference between Paris and the suburbs , since some of them are almost as dense as the city itself (ca. 20000 people per km2) ...

I really like the modern architecture of the residential buildings in the suburbs a lot, while trying to adapt the historic style of the 19th century Paris apartment buildings to them, they don't look to kitschy and still look modern, and also fit in well with the historical buildings, like on this pic (pic 80):

...I think that this type of architecture should be copied by more cities in Europe, because it adds urbanity to the suburbs, and is neither too low or too high , which makes it seem like the modern continuation of the traditional architecture of the inner city in the suburbs .

Most urban in the world maybe not, but that's right inner suburbs are very urban, this is less tru for outer suburbs that are mostly suburban.
If we have such urban suburbs it is because Paris city limit didn't changed since 1860. It is clearly not adapted anymore.

No infact few inner "suburbs" are as dense as Paris (ca. 20,000 inh/km²), infact exepted the innermost one, they combine dense main streets or avenues and little detached house in secondary street. In this tread I wanted the show active in the inner suburbs not the quiet street, but the 135th picture show an exemple.
In an otherway even these quiet street with house are not suburban at all.

Only Levallois Perret, Vincennes, Saint Mande, Le Pre Saint Gervais, Montrouge are over 20,000 inhabitants/km².
I would concidere at inner suburbs when the muncipality is over 5-6,000 inhabitants/km².

the pic 80 is located in Chatillion, this municipality has "only" 10,000 inhabitants by Km².

There is many high -rises outside la Defense.

I recognize some location, which I have quickly visited (La Defence, Issy (nr.15?), Creteil, Les Lilas, tramline Bobigny-St. Denis)
