Here are some of our observations:

1. Sorry guys ha... Sa Bacolod kasi, nakikita ko kasi ang difference sa Mayayaman at mahihirap. Para bang may boundaries between them. They were so called hacienderos or mga anak ng mayayaman roaming around Bacolod to have fun. But on the other way around, I saw some street children especially on Downtown begging for food. Yung kapatid ko naawa and we gave what we ate (piyaya from Bongbong's) truly you will see the boundaries.

2. Dahil hindi kami marunong mag-Hiligaynon. Another problem is languange barrier. Sorry ulit guys ha. We have many experiences with jeepney drivers there. Since there were no sign boards, we dared to asked them about the said route. We asked in Tagalog but they replied to us in Hiligaynon. OMG, parang lalong maliligaw kami ah :lol: Some drivers smiled back to us na parang hindi nya mai-express in Tagalog. Diyan ako natuwa. Smile parin kahit nahihirapan. Thank God for some taxi drivers and some students in USLS, UNP and WNC, they were so great in pointing some directions. :banana:

3. I really love your nightlife. Maraming establishments, from Cafe Bobs to Figaro, to Manokan Country to JT Chicken inato, name it. Sarap pa ng food. What a wonderful food trip. :cheers:

4. Daming schools. I also learned that Region 6 (wherein Negros Occ is one of the provinces there) produced best students and graduates dahil nga sa reputation ng mga univ and colleges. USLS, WNC, UNO - Recoletos, LCC, Riverside College at marami pang iba. Kaya ang Bacolod, karamihan ang population ay mga kabataan. :)

5. Malls. From SM to Robinson. Ang SM maliit lang pero malawak ang area niya sa labas. Ang Robhinson naman, malaki at puno ng establishments. Pero mas makikita mong bago ang SM kasi this year nagbukas compared to Robinsons. Sorry guys, hindi ko napuntahan ang Gaisano. Nagmamadali kasi ang kapatid ko that time.

Marami pa akong kwento. Pag balik ko mamaya. My unforgettable experience at weirdest moments while in the City of Smiles. Till then Good Afternoon! :)

Just to share with you our trips there:

1. Kilometer Zero. Ang kapatid ko kasi mahilig yang magexplore ng sites, then tinanong nya yung Asan yung kilometer zero, yun pala ay yung Provincial Capitol. In fairness, ang ganda ng view with matching lagoon. Yung building ay very common na yan parang nung pumunta ka mi sa Davao, Ilocos at Baguio, same ang structures. Our weirdest part, we took pics on ourselves by jumping . O di ba parang superhero o alien kaya?:lol:

2. ANP Showroom. Maganda ang place especially kung bibili ka ng pasalubong such as t-shirt, masskara keychains etc. Tip: Make sure that you have money there, kasi kapag gusto bilhin na baka ubos na ang pera mo. Nakakadik kasi mag shop. :nuts:

3. Bongbong Piyaya / Pasalubong Center. Along Araneta Street, bago kami umuwi pabalik sa Manila ay namili kami sa pinagmamalaking Bongbong lalo na ang aking favorite na Piyaya. Kahit anong flavor, mapa-ube o kaya butter, basta piyaya masarap. Aside from that, we bought BUTTERSCITCH, barquillos, mango tart at marami pang iba. Dahil sa pasalubong, we carry two boxes. Patay, overweight ito sa bagahe... :nuts:

4. Weather Condition. Eto ang hindi ko maintindihan sa Bacolod. Sobrang init sa umaga at hapon at pagdating ng 5-6pm biglang uulan ng pagkalakas-lakas. Nasayang tuloy ang get-up namin. Pero masaya naman at nakita namin kung ano ang hitsura ng Bacolod by rain or shine :)

5. Missed places. Na-frustrate ako kasi hindi ko nakita ang mga places sa Negros. Ang mga ito ay:
Panaad Stadium
Silay City
Talisay City
Golf course
Negros Museum - Lunch break nung napadaan kami - Sayang!

^^I also had a bad experience with a freakin' guard sa SM City Bacolod. My mom have a phobia on eskelators. So we are left with no choice but to take the stairs which is nowhere to be found in this magnificent structure. But alas i finally found an instant "cure". I saw a lift for people with disability. But unfortunately its locked. And I have to look for the guard just to gain access. Which at that time was busy chit chatting with a lady salesperson in one of the mini shops at the center aisle. The guard seem so resistant on the idea of us taking the lift. He even asked so many questions just for us to be allowed entry into the lift. Whew!!! Its like an extraordinary elevator made of gold. :lol: After so much blah blah blahs we were finally allowed to take the lift. Finally.:ohno:

That's the usual problem with Mall management. It seems to be that every department has different interpretation of the Malls policy. A day before the opening of SM Bacolod, there were some tension between the tenants and the mall management because they wanted the tenants to leave the premises kay di nila pagpatapakan ang salog nga mahining hehehe

When a group of businessmen come up with a slogan that says “Stop complaining, do something”, call themselves “Bantay Banwa”, and then donate and install 77 International Traffic Signs all over the city, I get the impression that its not because they want to give back to society, its because they, like so many others who have contented themselves with silently grumbling about the traffic, are fed up at the shameful traffic situation in the city.

The “No Stopping” Bantay Banwa sign, which was placed near major corners of intersections, supposedly after consultation and with the permission of the city's traffic gurus, shouldn't have been allowed to be installed if the city had no plans of enforcing them anyway. They just make the city look bad, especially the area in front of the Pepsi plant that has spanking new signs but continue to be used as illegal terminals by jeepneys, who are totally oblivious to the signs. The same goes for the “No Left Turn” signs, especially at the intersection of Lacson and 6th Street and Galo, where private cars routinely disregard the sign, simply showing us that selective ignorance is not the exclusive domain of jeepney drivers. Motorists who see the signs and then witness them being disregarded by barefaced drivers who gleefully get away with it 99.9 percent of the time will rightfully assume this city does not care about enforcing its own laws.

Bacolod has the excellent, wide roads that most cities in this country could only dream of. It has traffic lights in most of the major intersections. Thanks to concerned citizens, it now has international traffic signs sprinkled all over the city. And yet, everybody except the people in charge of it, can see that the traffic situation is deteriorating instead of improving. They have the infrastructure. They have the tools. They even have donations from Bantay Banwa. All that's left for the people in charge of this problem is to grow balls.

Tanduay to acquire add’l 10.66% stake in Victorias Milling

Liquor firm Tanduay Holdings Inc. of taipan Lucio Tan is seeking an additional 10.66 percent stake in cash-strapped sugar miller Victorias Milling Co. Inc. (VMC).

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Tanduay said it is bidding for the 170.13 million shares held by Miguel J. Osorio Pension Foundation Inc.

Tanduay is keen on increasing its stake in VMC, which supplies some of its sugar requirements. The Lucio Tan Group of Companies already has three of the 11 board seats in the sugar miller.

Tanduay and another Tan-owned entity Philippine National Bank, a major creditor of VMC, already have a combined 21.2 percent stake in the sugar miller.

In 2005, Tanduay extended a P300 million loan to VMC to help it implement its rehabilitation plan.

Tanduay president Wilson Young said the company is considering the possibility of converting its debt into equity possibly in April next year. Should this materialize, the Tan Groups’ stake in the sugar miller would increase to 35 percent.

Young said VMC is expected to post P150 million in net income this year, the same level as last year.

VMC has set aside P700 million for capital expenditures this year and next.

Bacolod is really doing great in inviting investors to put up a business here. :)
It only shows that our local official is doing well and the city is very much stable in terms of power supply and infrastructures.

What I love the malls is their cozy place while you roam around it. Kahit kapag lumabas ka, magagandahan ka at malinis ang pagilid.

Eto nga pala ang napuntahan kong malls (LUZVIMINDA) na nagustuhan ko:

1. SM Baguio - the best ito!
2. SM Pampanga - whoa daming tao with good food on both sides
3. Robinsons Starmills (Pampanga) - the best ang food at ambience
4. SM Bacolod - ganda ng place at malinis
5. KCC Mall (Gen San) - one of the best mall in Mindanao with more advance technologies to offer.
6. Victoria Plaza (Davao) - kahit mukhang luma, cozy at elegant ang ambience as you proceed inside
7. SM Davao - good place especially the middle part of the mall.
8. CSI Mall (Dagupan)- cozy ang place lalo na kapag gabi
9. Robinsons Bacolod - ganda rin ng view
10. Goldenfields Commerical Center (Bacolod) - sosyal ang dating!

I don't know if its true or if they're actually planning on doing it but I'm extremely excited. Walang bar dito sa BCD na nasa rooftop overlooking the city :banana::banana::banana:

thats a nice planned and hopefully will come a reality same also of the Pavillion Hotel...the Horizon Twin tower has a planned to put the landscape at the roof deck if it is the construction completed...i will PM you miss next week about the blog link,,,currently u/c pa...lols

I guess what this "hospital-like facade" structure need is to have lush greeneries and excellent landscaping when finished. And that include its amenities, facilities and warm staff service. In that manner, people "might" keep their focus away from its "pink" cover.:lol:

It looks very similar to the Subic International Hotel, only a little bit worse. They could still do something for it like adding a red clay canopy between the columns and Wrought Iron railings to improve its looks. They should hire an architect to improve the design.

i was there nov 16. pero overnight lang ako.. nag cover lang ako WVTA. im going to cebu on jan 20 and iloilo on jan 26. for sinulog and dinagyang. pero im not sure if maka hapit ako dira bcd kay super tight sked ko.

wala gd ko pahuway subong. kay damo damo events bwas launching sang dnagyang sa mall of asia. dec 13, may food tour ako trinoma, dec 15, angeles food and heritage tour kag giant lantern festival sa san fernando pampanga.

maka tilaw lng ako pahuway sa dec 22 na. kung diin ang tanan sako na hikot para sa xmas. LOL

Above 1K naman :) I saw the Pics of SUV regarding the highways of Bacolod.

Aside sa wide roads, may napansin lang ako na tulad sa maynila.

Yung mga electrioc cable of wires along sidewalk. Nakakadistrct. Sana ayusin kasi magiging sagabl yan in the future. Worst kapag lumindol o bumagyo (heaven forbids):ohno:

kaya nga fraulein e. pareho din sa manila...merong ganyan at kahit saan man sa Pilipinas meron pa ring ganyan. Sana naman ayusin nila kasi ang pangit tignan:)

maybe when bacolod will start to build its own business district, its going to be like in ayala na where cables are placed underground. :) nakakainis talaga yang mga wires na yan... ang pangit!!! :)

There's so many people around.Very busy gid ang Lacson.Hard to find a parking slot.Most of the resto's are almost filled with customers especially Gerry's Grill we had a 15 minutes wait for our turn.kanami gis sang ambiance.

And disagree gid ko sang gincomment sang isa ka SSC forumer from Davao about the dimlighting sa near Metrodome kay we went there also last night.Very alive gid ang Bacolod especially at night.

Earlier we went to SM City Bacolod and it's really very beautiful.Kanami gid sang ambiance and i'm here now in Robs.My goodness kadamo gid changes.

Basi madugayan naman ko balik.Thanks gid sa mga a pics mo Migs Suv and Boynegros.Busy gid sa pamilya gatherings.Keep up the good work Bacolenos!

Meg this resort style community is another more than 100 million worth of project, the biggest pa ini kuno sa ayala ang community club house nila, they have their own kiddies and adult pool. and expensive club house, daw may bacolod land mark ini ang cabana nila.
